It looks like someone at Mitsubishi was watching Tango and Cash when they were designing this! AWESOME! I would LOVE one of these and it would have been on the shopping list next to the Airtrek, but in January, Ireland just added a "Default" emissions tax for diesels of six thousand euro... if you have no proof of emissions... so here, you would like $600 USD to $6,000 USD, to dissuade people from importing any more diesels...
Soon, I shot a video of the underside last week. It's REALLY BAD but I intend to have a company rebuild it. The rear sway bar is completely missing the mount for it. Rust has carried it away to the afterlife.
HI there. Love what you are doing. From PEI originally I moved to Japan 25 years ago and have lived in Kyushu since. Wondering if you are able to sell this vehicle inside Japan? Have been looking for a good quality Delica for some time now and want an older one.
can anyone ID what the yellow car is that's always parked in the background / channel banner? I looked but couldn't find anything. super cute, ive never seen something like that
Yes, we bought the car on a whim but I'm totally in love with it and want to buy another one. This is a special version of the BB that swaps out the hatchback for a tiny pickup back end. Sadly, these are rare and about 2-3x the price of the regular BB right now. Prices will change over time but at the time or writing this, they are about $3000 - $5000. It's not a tonne of money but for better or worse, these are mechanically the same as the Vitz, Yaris, Echo, and others. Super reliable, good fuel economy, but the regular Vitz is $200 - $1000 and these are a lot more.
@@PacificCoastAuto Thankyou for the info! I'm only now realizing the bb was sold as a Scion xb here in the states, the early models are really popular in the Los Angeles car scene I cant believe I didn't recognize the front, they still sell for like $5k here. The open deck version is adorable, I wish we got those state side. Time to start saving for when they become US legal!
I'm afraid not. You have two walls. First, the import ban is federal and the car isn't even allowed in the country. Secondly, California has regulations that makes it really hard to register non-compliant cars.

Mr. English man , this is most unreliable vehicle, not trusted & dependable. I request everybody not to buy these types of vehicle, as I have very bad experience.
We have exported about 300 of them. 99% of which I have seen myself. I have translated auction sheets for about 5x the amount I have seen in person. We have had several dealers over the years that only import these and have explained their experiences. What I know about these cars is unique knowledge that nearly nobody other than Mitsubishi mechanics have. From what I have seen, mechanical parts are strong and the rust is bad. Take the good with the bad but these Space Gears with diesel engines are more "reliable" than 95% of other vehicles in my experience.
Im in Australia and have had mine going on 14months and have had no issues. Just parts are pricey that's all. But unique car unique bills. We have delica clubs in Aus. Cult following..
That’s like the anime version of the A Team van ! 🤣🥰

If I buy it for the US, will you guys store until 2022?
Those wheels are so cool looking!!!
Are you guys ever going to import Japanese campers like the Isuzu Elf and the Toyota Camroad to Canada? Huge demand here :)

Derek, -you should just keep it and paint it to match the BB...
Derek, will you show us the City?

Damn thats a good price! If i could afford it i would ship it to canada tomorrow.
Is 500,000 yen with some rust quite a lot?
Hey Derek I'd like too pick up a late 90's early 00's chaser but I would have to have it stored till the time it's importable is that possible?
We have a full set of 100 pictures detailing the car. Email if you want to see them or have questions about the car - info@pacificcoastjdm.com

How much to ship to Canada??
Available to Cambodia...
This would be a fun project. I'm guessing storage wouldn't be an option (for a fee) for US buyers?
It's really too long to store it. It's USA-legal in late 1997 and there's not much use in storing this for that long.
@@PacificCoastAuto Fair enough. Good luck with the sale! This van has so much potential. I am jealous!

Out of curiosity. Have you ever exported a car to Poland?
