Searching the bank. When I was young Dad would always run us off from his fishing spot! I found so much on the bank of a river or at the lake. We all did it and had allot of fun doing it! even now when I need to strech my legs. I walk and search the banks! Nina have fun and good luck!
A cheap pump up 1 or 2 gallon sprayer with the nozzle ran in to jet spray works wonders for this type of excavation work and is easily refilled from the local water source,PLUS it can be used around the hacienda and garden at other times.. jus throwin that out there ..
I would but it seems like it disconnects me from the task. I like to see every stone and feel the dirt, where it turns to clay. I found some red jasper I might have missed if I were blasting water

....Hello Ms Nina , Mr Josh....looks like a great way to spend the day....this is just a suggestion...get a hyson spray pump and wash away the gravel more efficiently.....and get a metal detector, no telling what you might find...enjoy yous guys videos 😎👍
Hard to believe the river is so low, guys. But its beenn raining off and on all night here in Illinois on the Mississippi. Maybe you'll get some of it down your way? Good luck. 😊
Im not sure how far you are from Taylorsville Dam, a USACE Flood control dam, or any other USACE earthen dam with a concrete tunnel, but when they do tunnel inspection, they'll shut off all gates and valves. This results in really low water in the stream bed. There, in the now de watered bed, you can find more stuff: lures, fossils, jewelry, coinage etc. You'd have to consult with the Corps facility to see when they'd do such inspections and they'd likely tell you.....then you can plan for a new adventure.
Nice work - y’all really put some great effort into your artifact hunting . Gorgeous river and setting . Have y’all ever tried some rubber gloves and like a grubbing garden tool or a shovel ? It is hard to make progress using your bare hands and very slow . You’d be shocked how much more you find even with a two foot long shovel . I’ve tried digging out pot holes with my bare hands and started scraping the hide off pretty quick . Just a suggest, thanks for the great video ! Hoping you find a lot more , I think you’ve got an awesome spot with some real treasures in that compressed gravel .

Try pushing your paddle not pulling it. That way you can use your torso. The method is called punching the horizon. You can add a little torso twist as well.
You need to get a Metal Detector, Nina! 😊 Then, while your "hunting treasure" with that, you will VERY LIKELY stumble onto many more arrow head's and other non-metallic treasures as well! Hope you find many more great and interesting artifacts so that you and Josh can post more videos about them! Ron
Nice! Let us know what you find about the material. It looks like Burlington or cotter chert that I find here in Arkansas. I commend you for digging without any tools, you have way more patience than me!
I found an arrowhead made of white quartz about 20 years ago while blood trailing a deer. Yeah, I was lookin' THAT hard at everything! Finally found the deer too! Took a few hours. I hit the deer with a good shot (lungs), but deer have an incredible will to live! That one made me work for it!
