(Anthony)Novoa moved Layton (Trina) into his apartment shortly after Ms Graves (Shannon) vanished.
This all started cause Trina was extremely jealous of Shannon who they murdered together.
Layton then took on Ms Graves’ identity, using her credit cards and mobile phone, driving her car and even taking on her pet.
Basically, Ms Layton moved in with Mr Novoa and started living her life.
She didn’t hold herself out to be Shannon, she just lived her life, using her phone, credit cards & caring for her dog.
Katrina Layton pleaded guilty to four counts of tampering with evidence, three counts of obstruction of justice, and one account of abuse of a corpse.
Novoa was previously sentenced to 48 years in prison for Graves' murder and dismemberment, and the subsequent cover-up of the crime.

The more he talks saying that he’s worried about Arturo “taking him down with him”, the more I think he actually WAS an accessory
He keeps talking about his involvement with the fire and this is either attention seeking behaviour OR he has done more that that and he’s only admitting to the fire/burning as a way to minimise his own involvement.
Edit: Wow, after watching this whole video. This Andrew guy couldn’t help himself. In his attempt to appear innocent, he kept mentioning the burning and talking about being “falsely accused” of something like being an accessory.
    Because HE WAS 😳

Was watching one earlier where near the beginning a guy called in because he came across an abandoned car things looking fishy (and he definitely wasn't the one that did it, completely different voice and all that) and they ask what his name is and he says I'd like this to be an anonymous tip, they're like why would you say that and he basically bluntly said what you did. He doesn't feel like having midwit cops treat him like a criminal because he happened to drive past the spot of a crime hours later.

The gender bias in criminal sentencing is a real and well-known phenomenon. A study a few years back showed it's something insane like men receive over twice the sentence a woman would for the same exact crimes and that didn't even take into account how women are far more likely to be given plea deals beforehand anyway.

To be fair I don’t blame you. But 12 years is pretty hefty! He didn’t help kill her. And in 12 years life goes by way faster when you’re in there and technology doesn’t advance! You aren’t making any money! And when he Andrew gets out that’ll be widely known about him. And he’ll have an extremely hard time finding a real job. He’ll be facing homelessness. And if his family has a shred of humanity they may not even help him. He’s cooked for life inside or out!!

Seriously, detectives must be so sick and tired of hearing the “she left with another guy” story and it’s many variations.
Oh, and the “she went for a walk and she never came back” story along with the “I woke up and she wasn’t there”.
That last one is just lazy. They’re all lazy let’s be honest, but that last one really is pathetic.
I think if I heard a missing female’s partner say one of these excuses, I’d immediately be suspicious of them.

I believe Arturo and Katrina both are to blame for the death. I feel Katrinia was being played with by Arturo saying he wanted ger and he had Katrina there when Shanin got home and Katrina got overly jealous and hit her first and Arturo joined in. Then got Andrew involved to help him hide the body. Andrew got nervous and came up with half a truth. And they all got to pointing the fingers. Arturo and Katrina should have gotten life with no parole or death penalty. I'm just wondering what they did with her head.
