Tks for the honest comments. The reviewers only talk up the good points and avoid negativity for obvious reasons. After crossing the GV-70 off my list I’m left with RDX , XC-60 and NX. Too bad. I really loved the GV interior.
Of all those, the XC60 is my favorite, looks wise. The RDX with SH-AWD is my favorite power train but unfortunately the model hasn’t caught on to the latest version of the CR-V. Hopefully by next year the RDX will be a full redesign. The GV70 is gorgeous and is so well put together that it’s a shame that the minor but annoying issues are hurting the experience. The check engine light is back on as of yesterday. 🤷🏻♂️
Juan, your summery hits right to the issue I'm concerned about as well. It seems that I hear of more dealer service department having problems diagnosing what wrong in the first place, and when they do the part(s) needed can take weeks or longer to get. Also, if you plan on keeping it past the warranty. which i often do, some of these repairs are getting extremely expensive.
I'm on the same boat. I'm really struggling with wanting to keep the car, vs getting rid of it sooner rather than later before anything else goes wrong.
at the beginning of the video where the check engine code I was gonna say a leaking fuel injector. this is also very common on latest Honda Accord. direct injection is a bad design IMHO. leaking injector dilute the oil and cause even more damage. the customer service you received is unacceptable. My mother in-law has issue with her 2022 Kia Seltos and the dealer CS was terrible. I own. hyundai but its 2013 model so doesn’t have any of the new car problems and I can do most repairs myself.
I have a 2023gv70 and love the car no problems and I'm getting a 2025 gv70 Tues can't wait great car but like anything else could get stuck with a lemon Lexus is very expensive and no programs rdx great car but no touch screen
If it's not a driveability concern then it should be fine. Also oil should be changed every 5k no matter what car you own. Also the more technology you have the more issues the car is going to have. That is why your old Lexus is still incredible and working well.
@@ericksondaiz503 just yesterday I was trying to come up with a year gap where I thought cars reached their peak in reliability/safety/usability and I think I agree with you.
I was up at Costco routinely and when I’m on the road just about anywhere. I’ve done 91 octane for the majority of my ownership. I used 87 octane at the very beginning and then I transitioned to 91.
I got a check engine light back on the day after I published this video and it had been a week we had it back. It was on for a few days and then it went away. I still kept my appointment with the dealership for early February. I love the vehicle and I just want this minor hiccups to go away for an uneventful ownership experience.
Thanks for the video. I'm lucky to have 3 Genesis dealerships very close. The GV70 was on my list. I don't know now. But it was great to hear you had trust in your 20 year old Lexus. I'm an owner of a 2002 IS300 SportCross 🎉
That SportCross is money! I’m a big fan of the IS300; they’ve become rare to find in good shape and specially in the SportCross version. I’ve tried to be as cautious but as honest as possible about my impressions knowing that they can influence others in the choices they make even minimally. Unfortunately the vehicle has been spotty in the last 2k miles. More? Yesterday the check engine light came back on with a code P030300 and just in the nomenclature of the code I can see that it will be another fuel injection assembly for my guess, cylinder *3 🤷🏻♂️

Nice to hear! These are such nice vehicles. Are you leasing or buying? Sometimes I feel leasing is the way to go with new vehicles.

Well the problem is that you're buying archives thinking they're investments. But they're not, not at all.
The issues with new cars is electronics. I prefer cars built 2010-2015 it's more reliable

Curious if you use the same brand of gasoline and what octane rating did you use for your car ?

@@JuanCarlosLTO hopefully the rest of your journey with the car is uneventful and smooth sailing

@@JuanCarlosLTO hopefully it will
I only have 600 miles on mine and I already know I won't keep it. I should have researched the poor service issues first.
Juan you should hire a lawyer and seek the lemon law if you had all this trouble
Right after I posted this video the check engine light came back with a similar code. I’m sure it’s going to be another injector assembly. 🤷🏻♂️
