I own a new G70 and I found out something about it yesterday. The owners manual recommends an oil and filter change every 3,000 miles. The 3.3 Engine requires 7.6 quarts of oil. The oil change cost me $180 at Jiffy Lube.
Did you mean GV70? I also have a 3.3T G70. Oil changes cost me about $80 at the Genesis dealership. You're getting robbed by Jiffy. Where do you leave?
@@doudymac I mean G70 not GV70. I use the best synthetic oil available. Oil is one thing i don't skimp on. If i was to use conventional oil it would cost about $80 +/-.

Front sensor at the bottom forces that license plate to be mounted in the middle of the grill is the worst design choice. The Mercedes has the front sensor in the middle of the grill so the plate can be mounted at the bumper
Love the GV70, was going to buy it 2 years ago but went with Stinger as $100k was just too much for me. The GV70 is same though what a Stinger is vs German grand touring cars that cost double. eg Audi S5. Unbeatable value for money in terms of luxury and performance, nothing comes close. Shame they stopped selling them.

Has Genesis fixed the ongoing issues with their paint? My understanding is that the problems (peeling, chipping, colour fading) persisted into at least 2023. There's a class action lawsuit over the problem in the U.S.
I recently purchased a 3.5T sport. It’s a great car, asked for $4k off on a car that has been on the lot a while (white/blue). Lots of great things about it. Here’s what I don’t like, in no particular order. 1) the front collision avoidance is an absolute joke. Feels like false advertising and I am about to engage Genesis on this matter. 2) Yes, the two knobs are too close to each other (just as all the reviewers have stated). 3) the finger print feature is worthless. Fails to confirm me (virtually) ever, to the point where it locks up and you prompt you to enter in your pass code. It’s a time waster if you just want to get in your car and go, and it’s just annoying. Either the feature works, or it doesn’t’. If it doesn’t, get rid of it. 4) Not sure if this is only on my car, but the power steering makes this annoying humming noise when engaged. About to go in the shop for this issue. 5) No wireless CarPlay. My salesman at the dealership told me the software update will take care of this, but upon reading the release notes, not such luck. Please someone confirm /tell me I am wrong. 6) The heating /cooling controls are not well-designed. e.g. say you want to put it on cool, level 1. Here is what you have to do. Hit the cool button once, then hit the hot button twice, and voila you have cool, level 1. Very odd. 7) the seats, while it has a cool feature that keeps you awake, are not the most comfortable for longer (2+ hour hauls). If I were to get another one, I would get the Advanced package.
