Chris Lee in full "I need the paycheck" mode. Great actor who wasn't afraid to take a part to keep the lights on at the house. He is fun as Fu, and we get Joel and the Bots to rib him mercilessly!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Christopher Lee’s brother in Law was Ian Fleming, who based his hero of his books on Chris. Bond, James Bond.
Its typical of what Ian McKellan called "Brit actor work ethic" where they are willing to take any role to keep working. Even Oscar winners/nominees have taken an easy paycheck in obviously crap movies.

He said in an interview that he only took the part so he could golf in Barcelona. So I'm assuming it was filmed in Spain or there about. But funny little trivia fact there.
Lee got to cap off his career with some roles in major productions that people will remember for a long time. Lot of reoccurring big names in riff material movies that didn't get that, sadly.
Also, memorizing some of his filmography would make for a hell of a strategy in Cine2Nerdle.

I like how the whole opening Fu Manchu ice machine scene was taken directly from the end of the previous film, "Brides of Fu Manchu" where it was a destructive radio transmitter.
If only we could have James Bond vs. Fu Manchu, with Lee and Roger Moore in the lead roles. Is this better or worse than Operation Double 007?

This movie is a war crime
I will say that Sir Chris made a number of great and memorable films, one of which he made in 1998 and just recently available on Blu-Ray from UK Indicator, JINNAH. He played the great founder of Pakistan with a nuanced performance that should have won wider acclaim. Well, I have the Blu-Ray and will always treasure it along with my other Sir Chris favorites like THE WICKER MAN and THE THREE MUSKETEERS.

I like the Marvel villain Fu Manchu. He is Shang-Chi's archenemy who even gives Dr Strange a run for his money.
That rare instance when the writers really didn't know how to handle the inherent racism of the film and do a painfully unfunny sketch about it.
