  • I still use a conventional wallet, and I finally decided it was time I tried something new. Axwell sent over a Blaze Orange wallet as it's the brightest color they offer, making it easy to locate in a backpack, snow, or if dropped on the ground. They also sent a Mission Multi-Tool Wallet Card which is 23 tools that are the size of a credit card. It's a perfect emergency survival tool
    Every Axwell product is designed and developed from scratch with a dedication to quality, durability, and functionality. The result is the best everyday carry products on the market.

    I have always carried a folding leather version of that wallet in my left front pocket. My cell phone is always in my back right pocket or in my hand. Never together in the same pocket as my wallet. Lots of leather-good crafters at craft fairs have them. When I am in crowded areas I walk with my left hand in my pocket holding it. Glad you mentioned the benefit protection from scanners. I also own a version of this wallet from Ridge Wallet. What I like about this one is that it separates and is held together by magnets (the reason I don't use the Ridge) it seems much better. Thanks. I enjoy following you from Massachusetts.

      Thanks for the great feedback Robert. Cheers from Alberta. On a different note, I hope you're not affected by that chemical derailment. We live in crazy times.

      @@Martyupnorth I'm approx 600 miles away as the crow flies but the prevailing wind is from that area, steel country (acid rain). So we'll see. I have a Canadien Mountie friend (retired) from Winnipeg and a good friend of mine here, ex hockey player, is from Alberta, 40 miles north of the center, east/west of Montana. And cousins in Montreal. My Canada ties......cheers.

      Check your IG messages. I'm thinking of heading out on a wainter hike in the next 2 weeks. Nothing hard. Geoff (aka Wandering Panda) has some time off. Even if he can't make it, I'll be heading out.

    Question
    Can the magnets inside the wallet, de-magnetised your cards?

      I'm sure they can. Mag strips are becoming a thing of the past. Most cards now have a chip and a mag stip. Soon cards will only have chips. MasterCard only has a chip on their cards. The mag strips had too many vulnerabilities (easy to erase, but just as easily copied).

      @The Space Marine How?

      @The Space Marine if you google search "Do magnets wreck phones" You will get this answer "Apple iPhone and Android devices use NAND flash memory, which are not affected by magnets. Since there is nothing magnetic in solid state or flash drives and they have no moving mechanical parts, mobile devices are immune to magnetic fields." Most phones have magnets on the back pf phones now for magnetic chargers. If you have an old model of phone maybe. But nothing from the last few years. Really really strong earth magnets are another story.

      @The Space Marine if magnets could ruin a cellphone, cellphone manufacturers wouldn’t put them on their phones (mag chargers) so I think the small magnets on this wallet will be fine. Not that I keep my phone and wallet in the same pocket anyway, if I lose one to a pickpocket at least I still have the other. Now to find out if I can get one of these in Australia…
