I know this sounds odd, but this video is already better than most other wallet review videos on youtube. Doesnt sound in the least biased, well and constructive praises and criticism. Please keep this up with other wallets, its good to watch and follow. (Subbed now)
Your main critique is something I am happy about. I hate metal money clips always remove them so this is actually a great solution especially for someone who carries a tiny bit of money just incase
I've had this wallet for over two months now and I'm loving it. Mine came pristine out of the box with zero scratch marks or imperfections in any way (although it has gathered a couple since then as expected of leather products). It took around a week of breaking in the wallet for it to close properly 100% of the time, but even before then, it was hardly an issue. I've also never had any problems with the bill pouch. I find that it helps a lot if you fold each bill in half and put them in individually (side by side and with the fold pointing upwards so it's easier to count the bills), rather than have a stack of bills and then fold the entire stack. Personally, I would much much prefer the current bill pouch over a metal clip at the back, but that's just my opinion.
I really liked the video! I was going to get a secrid but this ticks all the boxes! The things that separates the double oak from secrid: 1. I hated the button close, looks like a purse. 2. The glued in hard box on the secrid, ugh I love that the double oak can be removed and attached to my iPhone! 3. The cash pouch. This my favorite. I like that I can fold up some money and stash it rather than that stupid plastic thing holding money. So yeah, great review and now I’m excited to get a wallet that fits all my needs. Thank you!
I don't carry cash; I have been using a minimalist wallet for the last 10 years so I ordered the slim edition. I wanted the card holder that's RFID for bank cards and I love leather so the leather pouch with a single card slot that I can use to scan to get into my office and I don't have to take out the key card out. Lets see how it is when it arrives...great review!
So I have an ekster wallet, also used to have a ridge (first minimalist style wallet). I just saw the ad for this wallet last night on FB of all places. I will say that I just bought this one rn after watching this vid. Reasons for this are because while I like the minimalist designs i’m also very old school so i’ve hated certain features with each wallet. My main issue with the ridge is that it’s solid metal, dirt gets in and eats your cards up sliding them out over time and the god awful money clip lol. Idk i didn’t think people liked those, but I too am at war with the straps and how many times you have to fold it ALWAYS resulting in a pregnant wallet, but this design here on the double oak looks traditional/modern enough to appeal to me. I like only having to fold it once, i like new mixed with old, I LOVE the iceberg color! To me, it’s well worth trading in my ekster for this especially since it’s black friday. Ekster has the money strap too but at least it was more leather like this one but it was very small, it’s not as functional as this one is, the plastic button gets jammed up, cards slip out, like I genuinely hope this is the last wallet I have to buy. I doubt if it isn’t the next one surely won’t look as good.
the essentialbag slim wallet is very similar to this but has a full size department for cash and a small one for coins. It's *nearly* perfect. It locks the cards with a spring mechanism, which works, but i have the feeling it will wear out. Also it lacks friction for the cards so in theory cards could fly out if you push hard. But atm I think it's the best out there.
Great review. Don’t think it’s for me. Kings Loot so far has been my favorite wallet, used the black leather one for years and it’s been great nothing has been able to replace it yet
I wouldn't want my cash clipped to the outside of my wallet. Whether it be due to curious/roaming eyes or the metal clip permanently imprinting on my pants and potentially creating a hole where I sit on the wallet.
Can u use any types of cards in the card holder? On the website the bifold option says the cardholder is for credit cards only and mentions not to use it for IDs, keycards ect but if u look at the cardholder alone on the website it doesn’t mention that. Can u please tell me if u can put ID/keycard sort of cards in the cardholder? Does the mechanism still work or r those types of cards too thin?

This might be the way to go then! It's an awesome wallet.

Gotcha. I always carry front pocket so I've never had to worry about that but definitely something to keep in mind.
Is it still MagSafe compatible while in the leather pouch?
Nope
Thank you!

Yeah I haven't had an issue with that on mine but maybe they found some issue in their testing. Personally I don't see why that would be their advice.
Just ordered this, I never carry cash so this is not a concern for me. Its suppose to be a minimalist wallet anyway,
😄👍🏼
Just ordered this wallet after watching numerous reviews. I never carry cash so dont want or need a clip.
