Hey . Can you attach an external thermos water bottle 0.5 or 7.5 liter to the peak 6l sling somehow , in that way it to not figgle around 180nor 360 degrees, to stay in one place?
@@k.o.t.o.n. not sure, hopefully someone else in the community can help
Love this channel man, the attention to detail on the editing is 👌.. I like the review timer you guys have loading around the frame
Thank you for the kind words! And glad you find value in the review timer :)
Really like the way you guys edit your videos. In most other review videos, things are not as clear, most of the time it's all over the place.
With you guys it's actually easy to find the info we need, keep it up! Loving it so far
Thanks so much Sylvain! Comments like these keep us motivated 💪🏼💪🏼
Great Reviews!!! Quick, to the point, all the information I could want to know to make a new purchase. Thanks!
Thanks so much Ian!
We have to get on your list for sure! 💚
Shoot me an email - aaron@nomadsnation.com
Lots of fun guys. Now I need to check out a few of those detailed reviews. IMO you saved the best till last but it'll be interesting to see that full review
Thanks so much Susie!
Now that I got a backpack, time to start the search for a sling! Thanks for the content! You make the search so much easier. I'll see you in about 10 videos when I make my decision hahah
Haha glad to help dude! Let me know if I can help with any questions along the way 💪🏾
I like my PD Sling its great for what I carry regularly. So I totally agree with you about it working or non-photographers but still useable.
100% JT - thanks for the comment!
@@Nomads.Nation hy! which are the 2 smallest slings, that can fit galaxy tab s7 and s7 plus?
Saw the aer 2 and immediately had to get it. The look and size of it looks perfect. Thanks for the recommendation
So glad to help! Let us know what you think of it once you've tested it out plz
Thanks for the Video!
Glad to help Eric!!
Hi! Awesome review! Any idea if the Amazon Kindle Oasis will be able to fit into either the Aer Day sling or the Bellroy sling? Thanks and looking forward to your next videos!
Thanks so much Lynnette! Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question. Be sure to reach out to Aer, they can get you sorted :)
Every bag looks good on this stunning man.
😏
best sling bag reviewer. there is a very popular certain backpacks guy on UA-cam, and he merely showers praises without criticizing.
thanks for the love!!! We try to keep our reviews as fair as possible - you gotta know both sides to be able to make a confident purchase!
Hey Guys! Really cool video - i was wondering if you could do a review on the Frenchie Co 3in1 Sling?
Thanks Mishal! Can do!
Most of these bags look like backpack so I decided to go with the bellroy and peak design. Thanks you this video help a lot.
Glad you found the video useful! Be sure to subscribe :)
Could you please do a review on mystery ranch’s forager hip mini? Love your channel!!!
Thanks so much and great request! Hopefully coming soon :)
Great review style, and super useful information. Hopefully one of these days I’ll be able to decide which is my ‘best sling’! :) Thank you so much, brother!
Thanks so much for the kind words DP!
@@Nomads.Nation neat stuff dude. But I can lowball for $25... made in CHINA! 😂
Great video guys! Is the AER ambidextrous, right shoulder only? Thanks.
Thanks so much! And yes, it’s right shoulder only
One sling I really want you guys to review is the NIID Radiant Urban Sling. Great features and slick look.
Will do! Thanks for the rec
Do you know if it has the crucial 3rd rear security pocket on the body-facing side, and any RFID lining?
Wow, awesome review, nice sling bags! our factory can custom these type of bags
Thank you so much!!!
Good catch.
I shoulda been a baseball player
I have the Osprey Daylite sling and North Face Basecamp Voyager sling. Both are really good. The Patagonia Atomic, North Face Borealis, and 5.11 sling bag are really good too
Great recs!
Been debating about the right sling. I have a bag for when I carry my slr mirrorless but there are many times I just want my phone, dji om4, moment lenses and a few other accessories. I was thinking of the 3l peak design but the AER 2 has my attention.
Thanks for the comment! If you are needing it for your camera - PD all day. If not, I'd go with Aer :)
@@Nomads.Nation If I plan to not use this for my camera and only for mobile photography as I have another camera bag I love which would be the best?
Being serious this time though. I absolutely love the Osprey Daylite. Now that you know that, is there one like it that you think I should check out? I lost my Osprey so I have to get a new one of some kind.
I don't care for the square looking ones. To fanny pack looking for me. I like that tear drop looking traditional sling.
Good work
appreciated!
Any chance you guys have an Evergoods CAP2 to test if it fits in the Arclite Sling? Please??
Ah unfortunately don't have that :(
I had the Bellroy Sling for a while and sold it as it was too large and the front pocket is pretty useless IMHO. However, they released a mini version which also has some pockets inside the front pocket. I don't think it deserves a separate review, but I just wanted to let others who are interested in the Bellroy know about it.
Thanks for that!
Cheers man didn’t know that.
Thanks
I dig your channel! 1 question tho, can the aer day sling 2 wear comfortably on the right shoulder (the bag sit on my left)?
Thanks my man! No, it's meant to go the other way unfortunately.
@@Nomads.Nation perfect, a straight answer saves me lot of time, many thanks man, God bless!
Please review the Cycop Daysling 2.0 (Explorer) ... I have not seen a sling that can come close to this.
I've added it to our to do list - thanks!
Could you also please review Timbuk2 classic messenger, it is under my radar currently.
Can do!
whats your opinion on pacsafe vibe 325 ? I used to use the mi city sling bag for severa years before I got this vibe bag, I am looking for a combination of these two :)
I haven't tested out anything from Pacsafe unfortunately but I really need to. For what it's worth I've heard great things
We need Aaron’s award for each category 2023. Don’t see a review of the new bravo slings. Your videos are better than other. You actually understand what people what to carry. Thanks!
thank you so much! Hoping to do the first NN Carry Awards this year :D
Please do a review of the peak design everyday tote v2
Hopefully soon!
I love how you said, "you can throw body's in there" then you went back to say "camera bodies" to make sure no one was thinking you chopped up someone.
Hello. Could you recommend a 5 to 8L sling that has a water bottle carrier?
Try this - ua-cam.com/video/1ZCgBsry8Vk/v-deo.html
Any chance an iPad Pro 11 with a Magic Keyboard case would fit in the osprey?
Ahh sorry Ethan I have no idea - maybe reach out to Osprey, they might be able to point you in the right direction :)
This was awesome you have to review avnada slings
Great rec, I’ll totally check it out!
i've been using a mini kadet to carry my steam deck and accessories. would there be something similar with a bit more organization with in it? and or something with a removable strap so i can throw it in a bigger bag like a tech pouch
Check out the Black Ember TKS, should check all your boxes
@@Nomads.Nation it looks real nice, but it may fall short of what i'm looking for. specs seem to have its length at 11", but i'll need at least 12" the big chonker
@@saedo9723 ahhh got it
hi im looking for a good bag/organizer for a small to medium bag for medical supplies could you recommend me something? boundary supplies is one of my favorite bag's thanks
Hey Jack, I'd love to help but I really don't know how big small to medium is to you. If you like Boundary Supply why not just go with it?
You should try the RYU waist bag
Great recommendation! I've added it to our wish list :)
goooooooood
thaaaaaanks
The Arclite is incredible! The looks are a bit too much, but wow is it cool tho!
Heck yea ! 😎
I would love to purchase one, but my main concern is the protection against thievs... Lets say you're inside the club or crowdy spaces, how do protect your stuff?
Yea these things aren’t 100% theft proof, I’m not really sure if there are any like that on the market. The Moser Dayfarer sling would be pretty safe if you wore it on your front me thinks
Hey Aaron, I've been looking for a sling bag that could fit in an Alpaka Headphone case and probably a camera and a spare camera lens. Any recommendations of a cool looking sling bag that could fit these? Trying to stay away from PD if possible
PD was my first idea lol. Maybe Modern Dayfarer Active Sling Pack?
@@Nomads.Nation just watched your review on it. Must've said it looks pretty cool like the Boundary Supply's but am not sure its feasibility for camera. I have yet to get a camera myself (still new to it), but planning to in the future. I already have a PD EDC 20L, but looking for a smaller one, and also afraid of being too attached to PD and its long term comfort of wearing it.
Do you think whether the PD's 10L is too big or the 6L is just enough for my requirements lol. Is it really that uncomfortable based on your review, like the sling strap/back ventilation?
@@dylanng.__not really sure tbh dude, it depends on so many factors and I’m not a camera person so I have no experience. I would say though my gut feeling is that the 10L will be good for you
@@Nomads.Nation i'll take your words then haha. Do you plan to release an in-depth video on the Alpaka Headphone case as compared to the shorts?
@@dylanng.__yes, should be live in a few weeks
Are slings the new cargo shorts? :) You are correct, the first one looks like a purse.
I wear slings WITH cargo shorts 🤘🏽😹
Can you also review the hex sling and hex sling mini
Great request! I've now added it to our wish list :)
@@Nomads.Nation A section to cover best camera bags from minimal slings to big size, similar to how you did your day sling one.
@@ChinmayH Already in the works! Hopefully live in the next few motnhs :)
To commemorate iPad Mini week, can u do best slings that could fit them?
Great suggestion! Now I'll just need to but an iPad mini....
@@Nomads.Nation hahah. Aww sorry. Didn’t mean anything. It’s good to join the wave tho. Good for ur channel.
Great shirt
Thanks dude! I’ll take any opportunity I can to rep my Heat 🔥
If you had to choose what would you have I’m looking at the air city 2 or the belroy
AC2
What about the minaal and the xpac version can’t decide
@@ajackson-ross7295 aer xpac :D
Says it all do you think it’s the best sling on the market
I've never had a sling or European carryall (points for the reference) and will be travelling Italy later this year. what would you suggest for functionality and security?
Slings aren't really known for their amazing security features (at least the ones I've reviewed) but Aer's interlocking zippers should help. Check out the Aer Day Sling and Day Sling Max - good options imo
@@Nomads.Nation thank you for the reply. aer seems to be the one to go for, but not sure about the magnetic closure buckle thingy. am I over thinking this?
@@rondonato7443 if you are concerned about security, I can see your hesitation as some (very small) minority of people in this community thinks it's a security threat. If that's the case for you I'd recommend checking out Korin or Pacsafe. I've never reviewed any products by them but they are known for making bags that are highly secure
Does anyone know of any slings where the bag part looks straight and not diagonal when wearing it? Idk why but that's the only think I don't like about slings. I find backpacks uncomfortable but just looking for a straight/non-diagonal look when on my back.
Following
I am HK ppl and I noticed that you live in HK!😀
Great Video! I am looking for a sling bag ~
I am a new HK-er but I love it here very much. Did you find a sling that worked for you?
@@Nomads.Nation I have a sling bag from "the north face". Stylish, Good looking but it's quite small to me.
I am interested in Aer Tech Sling 2, but sending to HK cost extra USD$14.99 via DHL.
So, searching for other brand that include shipping cost or..... maybe cheaper? haha
@@ABCTEST213 Have you checked out Suburban (suburban.com.hk/)? They have locations in CWB and Kwon Tong. They carry a ton of Aer gear (and other awesome brands) and you won't have to pay for shipping.
Sir can i ask what is the name of your watch i like it
Its an Apple Watch :)
Try Snigel Design, best bag there is 👍🏻
Will do!
What do you think of the new Alpaka Air Sling v2?
haven't tested it yet but VERY excited to
Damn I just bought the Alpaka bravo max and it didn’t even make your list .. eek
I hadn’t reviewed Alpaka yet, now that I have I would definitely include them in this list :)
Just for a point of reference for myself and bag size, can I ask how tall you are? And chest size, if possible? Interested in two bags.
Height - 5'8. Chest size - I am pretty skinny but I used to go to the gym and did lots of bench pressing but since Covid I've been reduced to pushups in my living room when I don't feel super lazy. Hope that helps 😂
@@Nomads.Nation Awesome, that works for me, thank you so much. Love the channel and the personality you carry. Got a sub from me. :)
@@NitroCigarette Thank you so much for the support! More awesome videos coming your way :)
Any videos on PacSafe?
not yet unfortunately!
@@Nomads.Nation make some LOL. Your videos are awesome.
@@dennissems thanks! I've got PacSafe on the radar, coming soon 💪
hello from hong kong
ga yao!
I like the dayfarer. $95 😱
It’s a great choice 💪🏾
Sure, but how easy was it for you to get your lipstick out of the Modern Dayfarer?
My thoughts exactly. Looks way too much like a purse
Im looking for one is long enough for a 7inch knife and a 8inch water bottle. Im chef and i dont really want to carry a whole bagw ith me around
A few of these should be good for you but I'd recommend reaching out to the vendors to double check
Black Ember should be included too.
I’m hoping to be able to review some black ember gear soon - thanks for the comment!
got a peak design but now onot a slingR but now need more.. that dont even use
Word
Another con for the AER Day sling 2. Not a good choice for left handed users. The 90 degree strap attachment doesnt make it ambidexterous.
great point! the backpack-world can be unkind to lefties 😿
Chrome Industries Kadet Sling Bag
Great rec!
Great video! Narrowed it down to the Aer Tech Sling and the Arclite Sling. Tough decision!
Ahhhh that's a tough one! I'd go Tech Sling, but it's close for sure. Thanks for the love!!!
Why most people review osprey daylite sling V1, why not a review S21 version?
I’ll be sure to check it out!
That day fair is NOT nicer looking than the Daylite. You take that back! lol
Thanks Eric! I actually don’t know of any similar slings - maybe check the Osprey website? They are always coming out with new models so it’s difficult to keep up with lol
Video Pros, a lot of good information, Cons to Much information
Thanks for the feedback David!
what would be a good gym bag sling?
Check out our review of the Aer Sling Pack
Tough Zipper Hack #1 - Rub a small amount of Chapstick or Wax Lip balm on the tracks of the zipper. Pull the zipper over and back a couple of times and the two "zips" should glide right over each other.
cool hack! does this cause any damage though?
Anyone know of a small sling bag that has bolstered pockets? I don't like floppy fish market pockets
Not sure what you mean by that…
@@Nomads.Nation I may be wrong on my terminology but I thought bolsters were like rigid inserts in bags that make the soft cloth more rigid so the bags don't flop around. Gives them more form rather than loose.
@@MisterFuturtastic no worries, I nver know what the right technical terms to use myself lol. Check out the Nomatic Navigator slings - they are more 'hardshell' and protective
@@Nomads.Nation Thank you! Will check it out
Is there a small sling bag that can fit a Surface Go 2? The big ones reviewed in here are so... big Height:
6.9” | 17.5 cm
Width:
9.65” | 24.5 cm
Depth:
.33" | .83 cm
Be sure to check the brand’s websites - they have all their specs published there :)

My boyfriend has lots of bags and pouches. He plays with them day and night. I think he has the beginnings of dementia. I want to video him playing with them and post on UA-cam. I would like to read the comments if I did. I told him people would probably say I don't know why but this relaxes me to watch this. I laugh at him because it is obsessive.
Ur boyfriend and I have many similarities lol
chrome industries?
Ah working on it! Hopefully be able to review a bag by them soon 💪🏻
Love your channel man. Hope you can do a review on MARK RYDEN bags especially on the sling bags. Have nice day.
Thanks for the love Reymond! And that’s a great recommendation - I’ve added it to our wishlist. Hope you have an amazing day :)

Hey guys, can anyone confirm if the sling tech 2 fits the new MacBook Pro 14?
I am 99% sure but I would double check with Aer just in case
@@Nomads.Nation Just got an answer from Aer "Unfortunately the Tech Sling 2 cannot accommodate the MacBook Pro 14" :/
@@predobender wow - good thing we double checked! Sorry mate, maybe check out the Aer City Pack instead?
@@Nomads.Nation I'm laterality binging your channel rn I'm sure i'll find something else for me! :) thanks for your time Aaron!
@@predobender best of luck dude! Let us know what you decide
I like the fashion one but if it looks like purse can’t you just put it higher on your chest
yes absolutely, but the placement isn't what makes it look like a purse, it's just the design (IMO)
These are huge I want a tiny one for my wallet keys phone and earbuds
Check out the Aer Go Sling 2 or Bellroy Pouch - weve done reviews on both
We called these fanny packs in my day
Fanny packs are still totally a thing, but they typically go around the waist. Slings go around your torso. Thanks for watching! :)
ok boomer
Truth hurts sometimes.
@danieldawlatly9307 I'm 50. It's a sling. Fanny packs are for the waist. Slings are NOT.
Most people don’t need keys to get on their homes here in Dallas , I don’t need a key ring on the sling bag.
This is a fantastic point and something I’m trying to keep in consideration. I live in Hong Kong (where 99% of homes have a gate key AND a front door key) but every time I visit my mom in New England it’s just a key pad - no key needed
Can you do x-pod
Hopefully soon!
X-pod
But what if you want to carry A4 docs / notebooks or whatevs
Great question! It depends on the sling - be sure to check out their website for information regarding dimensions :)
Now i need a man purse, thanks UA-cam!
Sorry not sorry ;)
I would like review with consideration of women’s chest comfort. I find most cut across and into a at least one half of woman’s chest. Others rise too high up.
Check out our sister channel Gear for the Girls!
What about for pple who arent poor?
Ppl who aren’t poor? You want something more expensive? Just trying to clarify lol
Magnetic access and strap closures are incredibly not very secure. Hard pass on those from me.
I think magnets are are secure as zippers, buttons, and other normal opening/closing hardware. But yes, if you are really paranoid about theft then you should get an anti-theft sling
@@Nomads.Nation PacSafe all the way. I was looking at some Bellroy and they don’t even have RFID linings. Found some Alpaka slings that do.
@@bradl2636 still haven't reviewed a bag by Pacsafe yet, hopefully soon! My understanding is that RFID is a scam and actually doesn't do anything, but I'm no expert.
They just kept getting bigger
Yes they do 😏
Who else skipped the first bag after you found out it was 95 USD lol
These slings aren't cheap, but I do think they are the best!
Too bad none of these has a concealed carry pocket.
I hate the military operator look on every edc bag out there.
