Until he finds out about the Death Star. He would have criticized something like that extensively. Massive waste of credits and manpower. Also, he would have disliked the Emperor for his Sith mysticism. He'd probably have preferred Vader being in charge (since Vader really does only care about peace and order) or Thrawn. Tarkin would have irritated G0-T0 beyond belief.
There are certain places where having him around is useful - the droid vendor and the bounty hunters on Onderon, Jorran on Dantooine. Though with the bounty hunters, if you bring him along, you lose the opportunity to get an open starport visa.

@@PapitoQinn If I remember correctly, T3-M4 found him on some planet and tried to rebuild, but Sith attacked, and then KOTOR 2 began. We can only assume that during this "searching" he was dismantled.
6:06 interesting that he doesn’t seem to be against the Sith. The Sith philosophy tends to promote constant infighting by nature and so would make the Republic less stable, plus people like Malak being in charge would be extra detrimental. Suppose the Jedi have their fair share of fuck-ups lately too given that Malak and Revan were ex-Jedi and the order mostly ignored the Mandalorian war.
@@jessl1934 There is very little to suggest it would reach a equilibrium. Think of Palpatine's galactic empire. I'd say that G0-T0 would like to achieve something similar for the republic, should the sith rule. G0-T0 however doesn't know the nature of the dark side and it's tendency for self-destruction. As Mical said, many people do not really see a difference between the jedi and the sith thanks to individuals like Revan or Malak, Exar kun, etc.

I love the implication that GO-TO watched the Star Wars equivalent of Goodfellas/The Godfather and just based the hologram's personality around that.
Noticed just now that goto is visually inspired by hal from 2001
