Came for the pedal. stayed for the playing and the CBC shirt! Plus two points just on the shirt! Miss Howard on Catlinbread videos but Jay does a great job too.
Yeah I wish all drive pedals had that! I had a Catalinbread Vari-o-boost some years back. I remember seeing Nick (RIP) from Catalinbread at the NAMM Show and he told me they had to quit making them because they were kind of a nightmare to build. So, I'm glad to see them put that tech into a drive pedal. To me, it makes all the sense in the world.
Catalinbread is such a killer pedal company! I only own the Naga Viper so far, but most of their pedals are on my wish list, I actually can't decide which one I want next...
Nice video. Already have the Cartlinbread DLS, and it is a keeper. This pedal intrigues me. Really like the tone knob and being able to change the frequency. I'm currently using an MXR Timmy as a boost pedal, and it does a great job of rolling off and letting the bass thorough. It is either being used alone or to push other OD pedals. And sometimes, I just want something a bit different that the OD pedals I already have. I grew up on the old time stereo electronics that had bass and treble pots and turn over switches which allowed me to shift the center frequency of the bass or treble control. And at times, I wish my guitar amp had these.
I have got to stop watching JLJ! He better be getting something worthwhile cuz I literally get about 50% of the pedals he demos. I even purchased a Bigsby equipped Tele after he taught me how to string a Bigsby properly. Ugh, I have to go and check my bank balance. 🤘🏼

As usual the JLJ sonic experience is great fun and, informative too. Awesome playing & Awesome pedal.
Thanks so much!

Very helpful Very cool pedal Tribute I'm having one or two probably
The blend should be on all drives and liking the eq also .
Killer Demo and Sounds!! Catalinbread knocks out insane Quality Gear imo. I think I have to pull the trigger for this one :)
Stellar playing btw. 👍
only thing missing is an expression jack to make it into a wah pedal
That would be pretty cool!
Cooler than sliced bread!
Wow, nice flexible EQ on that thing.
Wow, am amazed how versatile a single knob EQ can be.
Great demo, as usual friend, mahalos! 🤙🎸🎶
I wish you had the chance to test on different amps, other than the usual suspects.
Tasty tasty tasty always great
Bloated tweed has always been the problem

I don’t like the evil graphics and that 3rd eye LED. People are to loose with evil symbolism.
Try harder.
You need to take better care of your guitar, the finish is coming off.
useful pedal, but cat'bread tryina capitalize on the walrus audio aesthetic, looks like.
