    That's pretty thorough, if everyone on the NHS is treated this well no wonder they are snowed under. Just saying from afar

      We hope all doctors are this thorough with their patients. This is the hold standard and glad you found it thorough

    A PLAB 2 station gives us only 8 minutes though, and this is so much explanation that it's gone a whole 2.5 minutes over. How would one make this a more concise conversation?

      We deliberately have shown every permutation of this station rather. In the exam, it would be a simpler case, but in this instance, we wanted to ensure that candidates see all the options and issues they might get.

      I failed 3 times, I lost money to scams and reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I’ve not lost hope

    This is an angry relative!? Compared to what I have seen this felt like a pretty easy relative to talk to :D Great step by step guide! Very good to learn interpersonal skills and communication methods. Love your channel! Please keep uploading more such scenarios :)

    This is great, but we are only allowed 8 minutes in exam and this is somehow over it.

      We deliberately showed here all the possible questions and issues you might get in this station. You wouldn't be expected to deal with all these questions in a single station. It is designed to help your learning to show all the different connotations.

    very nicely explained the details of antibiotics and the new infection ... but one question ,are we allowed to interrupt the patient so frequently before he finishes his part, especially i noticed that in first half of conversation ??

    • @dhruvishkapadia3508
      @dhruvishkapadia3508 8 місяців тому +1

      As a ground rule, never interrupt the patient/relative. But since the scenario is intended to fit in 8-10mins the doctor might do that to cover important points first.

    Poor communication skills. Don't follow this. You will fail.

    It would have been more helpful if you provided the prompt and door text as well. Trying to put myself in the examinee's position I don't know what I know and what I am meant to communicate.

      This station's educaitonal value is to give you all the possible permuations of the scenario you may get. You will not be required to go into this level of complexity or depth in the exam, but it allows you to learn all of the different areas you could be asked

    What would you say about taking a short history before beginning the explanation for clostridium.

      This is an explanation station, and the information is given in the text introducing the station. You are not required to take a history as this is an explanation/communication station.
