    Very rarely do I ever comment on a YT video. This guy is an excellent instructor and very through with his explanation. I have done many brake jobs on my vehicles over the years and learned some key information from this guy. Excellent video my friend !!!

    Great job with the video, good camera helper too. I used to use the c clamp, but it got tiresome. I recently ordered IRmm Brake Caliper Press Tool, Car Ratcheting Brake Caliper Piston Spreader Press Tool with Brake Cliper Hanger (Orange) from Amazon and it made compressing those pistons a whole lot easier, especially if you have dual pistons. The tool ratchets even pressure to both sides. Great work though and good informational video.

    Great overview. No extra fluff. I wanted something quick to make sure I remembered how to do it. You put the pad with the wear bar on the inside. When I disassembled mine, that one was on the outside. When I got my new pads I thought the way mine were was wrong, but I went with the way they were. They did not seem to go back quite right. The calliper was tight. So, back inside for more research. Luckily I did not mount the wheel. Disassembled and "fixed". Things seemed to fit much better. Finished up the right side. Now to see how the left side looks !!

      Hey John, a good rule of thumb is to remember that the wear sensor goes to the side where the piston is because that is the pad that hits the rotor first, and will wear down first.

    Today I found out that the 13mm bolts that hold the caliper on can be used, at least on my Tahoe, to remove the rotor. Just like the method you showed. I had to do that to both rear wheels and used those bolts each time. Saved a trip to Home Depot. :)

    Good job. I showed your video to my classmates at school, because I thought it was an awesome video. I told everybody how funny you were, especially when you open ((CAN YOU DIG IT) (and your 007)). The instructor likes your videos too, but, he pointed out that your 007 was confusing. He says that brake lube (silicone paste) should be applied to the caliper pins, and that anti-seize should be applied to the brake hardware. You had it the other way around. other than that, great job, and you are really funny.

      Let your instructor know that he or she CANNOT use the silicone because it will dissipate with the dirt, rain, and weather. the anti-seize will always be there, and will provide protection, it's called getting with the times 😆😆🤣🤟🏾👍🏾

    What is the life span of a rotor if it was put on by a dealership, or wudnt it be the same as still being factory given it's year, and sudnt u spray out the slide pin holes after u wire brush where the clips go in case any shaving got in the holes?

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  6 років тому

      If the brake calipers are sliding correctly, there is no reason for the rotors to warp. Yes, you can clean wire brush first, then spray cleaner.
