- Hey lash babes! welcome back to my channel. in today's video I will be talking about how much in total it will cost you to get started as a lash artist. not in any way am I saying you will spend the same as me it will probably be a lot cheaper if you decide to go with a more affordable lash course and lash products. but I gave you the rundown of how much I spent in total just so you could get a clear idea that starting off is not cheap. My Daughter's halfway through school at Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Sciences here in Las Vegas. I've been purchasing everything she needs to be a Lash Tech as her own boss in her house/office. I literally have purchased almost every thing you've been saying is a must. Oh yes hands down. As far as glue, primer and sealer London takes the cake. Retention is crazy good.

Hi yoyis, is there any chance you can make a video on how to build and attract clientele as a beginner? I'm only 2 months in and I was doing so good last month of course with the holidays coming up but this month my prices went up a bit and I seem to be getting no request to book at all! I have only about 4 appts this whole month? Any tips you can give would help 😥 i feel like I've tried all! Boosting and posting even going on Facebook! It's becoming a bit scary but then I also question if this is normal as I am still a begginer? Thank you! Love your videos always btw 🤍🙏🏻
Oh yes it's totally normaly. You get crazy busy during the holidays and for the first few months of the year everything slows down. Be very patient around this time. I would say go out and hand out your business cards. You can't expect clients to come to you all the time you have to go out there and look for them. Do referral programs. Give your clients discounts like $5-10 off if they bring in a client. It'll get them excited about it and they'll want to talk about you to their friends. That's the on thing that helped me out the most was referral programs. Start with that and see how it works for you.

Hey I left a comment on one of your old videos about classes and certifications. I’m new and a Dental Assistant. What get you licensed to do lashes. I live In Oklahoma and it’s required. I didn’t watch the video yet so sorry if you answered this
If it's required by the state to have your license then it's best to get your license in either cosmetology or aesthetics. Do your research and see what it is you need exactly because every state is different.
I love yoyis but i feel like this video started out greta, seemed like it was a bit sponsored by London Lash…lol ill be definetly checking them out. im a beginner and just doing my research in what products i want to invest in.
I mentioned them because I love London lash products and I'm trying to save beginners from spending unnecessary money on other brands not knowing if their tweezers or their glue or their lashes are good. Everything London lash is amazing the tweezers are hands down my favorite. The glues are amazing and it sucks that it took me 3 years to start using their products so if I can help a beginner having to go through all the headaches that I went through for the past 3 years trying to find a good brand then I'm doing my job right by guiding them in the right direction. And like I mentioned in my video the more you invest in better quality brands the more you could charge your clients. I do have a beginner friendly lash brand that I like. But the quality is not as good as London Lash I will tell you that much. But if if your looking for an affordable brand check out that video. It'll probably around sponsored too because of how much I talk about that one brand. This video was not meant to talk about all my favorite lash products. Because I have that video coming up next but this video was about the one brand that I have been loving so much. And I wanted to share it with everyone. My job is to make everyone's job easier to take the headache out of finding good brands and products. And that's what I wanted to show in this video. I could've easily talked about all my fave products but is so many different brands and why make it complicated. If it sounded sponsored because I love a brand so much then that's fine with me. 🤷🏻♀️ I just hope this video helped out someone.

Can you explain or show what level/height is the best to be at to lash. & What angle their head should be at, please
I have a custom bed. I don have a massage table so I can't tell you exactly where it needs to be at because everyone is different. Your chest level will be different from another artist. So what works for me or someone else might night work for you because everyone's body is different. Best advice I can give you is to play with the height until you feel what's comfortable for you. You can always adjust your chair/stool as well. I can't adjust my bed but I can always adjust my chair so I make sure my clients head is chest level so when I lean in I'm not hunched over because I can see her lashes perfectly at chest level. Again what works for me might be difficult for you so you'll have to adjust it until your comfortable. But I am doing a video all about posture soon 😘

Both. I'm licensed Esthetician and 4xs certified. And no haven't tried them out yet. Love her UA-cam videos so it's definitely on the list to try.
Do you think a lash artist has to wear false lashes to "advertise"? Or can I just keep using my growth serum and mascara?

It is a great way to advertise but you don't necessarily need it.
May I ask, where did you take your course? Many of these I see online have bad reviews & seem like scams.
I took an in person training with a reputable company here in Vegas, but it wasn't good. I learned everything on my own. I actually offer online courses myself, and the best part is they are free if you sign up for my membership. Not only that, you also get free mentorship if you have any questions. I have 4 courses at the moment, and I'm getting ready to drop another. The thing a lot of people dont understand with online courses or in person trainings is that theyll never learn everyting you need to know about lash extensions, yes the information is there to guide you but in reality you learn everything hands on and through trial and error. You will never be good by taking one class. Being a lash artist will take a lot of investment and continued education to keep up with the top trends and techniques. Investing in an online course or in person training is not a scam if you are looking in the right places. Most of the girls that say certain course was a scam was because they failed to do their research and just wrnt with the cheapest course they can find. Sometimes cheaper isn't better, but it also depends on the artist who's training. I will never train with someone who's valuing their training under $1000, because as a trainer, i know the value of my time and effort i put into my training. So i know it's super sketchy going to someone who's charging less. Now, when it comes to online courses its different because they are videos. I say this from experience because I've taken multiple online courses, and they lack information. It's not that easy putting together videos with information. Some people just aren't cut out for teaching. Im not saying this to say that all online trainings are bad because there are good ones out there. You just have to look. Like i was mentioning with my membership, you do get access to my online course. You will also get certified upon completion. The only thing is because you are getting the courses for free, it doesn't come with a kit, so that is sold separately.
