Thankyou SO much for this yoga nidra Liam..I've been having problems with insomnia since losing both parents last year and this has been a lifesaver. Just putting an idea out there,it would be really useful to have a black screen version of this avaliable for those times in the middle of the night and really you don't want confuse brain with too much exsposure to light.🙏
Every time I do yoga nidra, my knees start convulsing then my whole legs start jumping uncontrollably and I find it very difficult to stay still. Why am I experiencing this? How can I overcome this restlessness and have a peaceful practice? FYI i do yoga and meditation 4 times a week but still have this restlessness any time I attempt yoga nidra. Thank you for your help!
Hi Chavi, the leg jumping is energy moving towards rebalancing. If you can connect to your breath deeply, feeling the inhale and exhale, visualize the breath going into the legs and be willing to allow your nervous system the freedom to process energy wothout needing to understand, just watch and let go of resistance, fear, worry.
Another lovely Nidra thank you Liam. Your deep knowledge of the subject matter along with your warm, well-paced voice with the tiniest remaining lilt, make for the perfect meditation. Best wishes from West Palm Bch.
Thank you Liam. Dr Andrew Huberman recommends your yoga Nidra on his podcast. I now know why. Such an effective one. The variety of breathing techniques worked for me. I’m totally rested. ☺️☺️

@@chavi1996 hi Chavi, When I first started doing YN I would get a tremendous amount of energetic movements in my right leg ( I had previously broken my leg) As the mind lets go of control by entering the more relaxed brain wave states we associate with sleep it releases control over the energy normally used in excessive thinking This energy is taken by the nervous system to start balancing and healing the body. It can be reflected in the body with movement twitching energy streaming hot cold heavy light coughing all sorts of manifestations as the body sees appropriate Your willingness to allow the body to do what is necessary removes resistance Be open to ‘watching’ and breathing and create space for what’s happening in your legs.
While fear may come up keep choosing to acknowledge what is happening in your legs and then go back to whatever component is being guided Be curious as to what your body is showing you it’s not about harming you but restoring. Liam
