- Host Dr. Michael Ard leads a curated discussion with Dr. Maria Robson Morrow and Lewis Sage-Passant on Intelligence Analysis for the Private Sector.
Dr. Maria Robson Morrow teaches research methods in the MS in Intelligence Analysis program. Outside of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Robson Morrow works as the Intelligence Project Program Coordinator at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. From 2012 to 2017, she worked as a security intelligence analyst in the energy industry in her home country of Canada.
Dr. Robson Morrow holds a PhD in Political Science from Northeastern University, where she studied public-private sector intelligence cooperation. Dr. Robson Morrow’s research has been published in Intelligence and National Security, the Journal of Intelligence History, and the Harvard Business Review. She currently serves as a Board Member and Education Chair for the Association of International Risk Intelligence Professionals.
Lewis Sage-Passant is a doctoral researcher at the University of Loughborough, where he studies the history and present structure, sources, and methods of private sector intelligence teams. In his professional life, Sage-Passant is Manager of Global Strategic Intelligence at the US technology firm Salesforce, where he helps provide guidance on global geopolitical and security developments. Prior to this, Sage-Passant has worked in the travel & tourism, financial services, and energy sectors, as well as deploying to Afghanistan as a Military Intelligence officer. Sage-Passant is also the founder and co-editor of the geopolitics site Encyclopedia Geopolitica.
