People need to be aware that saffron is the most expensive spice in the world costing between $1000 and $5000 per pound. It is obtained from the saffron crocus and only the stigma of the flower can be used. To get that stigma you have to pick it by hand and 440,000 stigmas are needed for 1kg of saffron.

The good thing about Pakistani food is the variety in regional flavours. Like spices? Southern part uses more of them. Head to the Northern areas for less heat and more subtle flavours. And as for the origin of the these dishes, many are authentically Pakistani (e.g. biryani which has been of Sindh province and has been eaten since centuries), while some have Indian influence too from the time the countries were together, just like India also has some of our food.
@@avienth2652 Yeah right, our land was uninhabited and the population suddenly sprung into existence in 1947. Or better, the people living here were gifted with the magical ability of not requiring any sustenance. Make sense now, would you? Northern Areas of Pakistan are NOT close to Iraq and Middle East. They border with China. Heck Pakistan is no where even near Iraq and is NOT a part of Middle East. It is a part of South Asia. Please correct your knowledge 🙂
Balochistan is next to Iran and Oman and borders the middle east and has middle eastern influences, Northern Pakistan is seperated by Wakhan Corridor from Central Asia. Northern Pakistan has more Central Asian influences in Wakhi Culture than Chinese influences. Might update your knowledge as well 🙂

Traditionally Saffron is not added in Lassi in most parts of Pakistan, it is only in a select few places. Also, lassi is either sweet or salty but rich with cream either way and only more modern versions of it have different flavours like mango or strawberry or saffron added to the lassi. So what you guys drank was not a proper lassi.
@@Theforsakened it's only at high end restaurants and hotels where you find mango lassi like this and saffron is like reserved for super special occasions not a lassi.
Saffron lassi is definitely not a popular pakistani drink. Saffron tends to be used a lot more in the Indian cuisine. Hunza, has central asian and Chinese influences in their culinary contour and they are definitely not even remotely close to the middle east.
5:15 I noticed that in your video, you mentioned that the northern part of Pakistan is closer to Iraq and consists mostly of deserts. I wanted to provide some clarification and correct some misconceptions. In reality, the northern region of Pakistan is renowned for its breathtaking mountains and valleys. It is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning landscapes, such as the Himalayas, Karakoram Range, and Hindu Kush Mountains. These areas are known for their scenic beauty and attract adventurers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts from all over the world. Moreover, Pakistan shares its border with Afghanistan in the northwest region, not with Iraq. The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is of significant geopolitical importance and has its own historical and cultural dynamics. I also wanted to mention that while there are similarities between Indian and Pakistani cuisine, there are notable differences in their cooking styles and flavors. It would be more accurate to showcase authentic Pakistani dishes when referring to Pakistani cuisine. I kindly request that you conduct thorough research and make an effort to provide accurate information in your videos. This will ensure that your content is informative and reliable. Thank you.

No disrespect to the dishes in the video
@@Nemishan360 It's Alright my brother let's wait and watch I believe they will react to These delicious 😋 PAKISTANI DISHES as well 👍🇵🇰
And chapli kebab, namkeen gosht as well.
@@mhmshzn Yummy 😋
This was too good. Everyone was so respectful and I loved how Fun Facts about my country were also shown during different parts 😄
Kudos to the team! Thank you for such an entertaining episode. ❤
First time saw some really trying Pakistani authentic food 💜💜💜💜🇵🇰🇵🇰 thank you so much for giving my country the recognition it deserves 💜💜💜💜💜
I'm a pakistani, THEY ACTUALLY CHOSE GOOD FOOD OPTIONS. You guys should try kulfi!!
I'm so happy that people are now seeing and tasting real Pakistan 💕💕💕
I'm sooooo happy you guys tried Pakistani Food. Love y'all especially Sharon. From Pakistan 💚🇵🇰
Same! ❤💖😍
Finally a Pakistani food video with actual “Pakistani food” and how to eat it, how it is made and its origin.
"They do the extra efforts and it shows" did it for me, thank you guys for trying Pakistani food, much love💕
Being a Pakistani and this is the first time I’m seeing karahi being served with rice… like what?😭😭
I know right
is it weird that I eat karahi with rice lol
Northern Pakistan is no where near Iraq and Middle East. It's actually Himalayas bordering China and Afghanistan.
the food they are eating are nothing like Pakistani food and I believe they taste nothing like that. I would recommend traveling to Pakistan to try their food. I have been there to eat and those were the best days of my life, specially the street food of Karachi were exotic and Amazing.
@4:49 Chap Shuro is there in Northern Pakistan, this girl has done good research, but Northern part is close to central asia, not middle east 😁
Any video related to Pakistan,
Indians: "Hey it was indian subcontinent first"
Bro chill 😂 Its like you guys cant tolerate any video having Pakistan in it. Get out of 1947 already lol just accept it and move on
It was part of india but the reigon had different ethnic groups that's why Britain divided it
Fr they be crying under every video related to Pakistan 🥴
U mean it was one whole country then divided..
Lol. U guys don't have ur identity
As Pakistani I be never tried saffron lasso they should be given plain sweet lassi or mango lassi
Karahi is always served with naan bread, serving with rice is almost a crime
Biryani looks just Ok
Rus malai or kulfa were better option than Shahi tukra
But overall great effort
Thank you for all❤❤❤
THANK YOU for showing Pakistani food in all its delicious glory! As a born and raised Pakistani, this warmed my heart and soul. Our food is the best and differs from regular Indian food (which is also delicious).
Wonderful to see everyone appreciating the food I grew up eating. I'm obsessed with Shahi Tukrey (the bread pudding translated to literally royal bits) as well! You guys should also try Nihari with Naan. It's a Mughal breakfast dish and it is so good.
Pakistan is a beautiful country with a sea, valleys and mountains and we would be happy to have everyone know more about the best side of Pakistan.
Sharing food with a Pakistani family has been the best dining experience I've had in my lifetime. The food is one thing, the humble generous nature of Pakistani people is the icing.
that auntie who's saving everything for home is so pakistani style thing.
Just dont understand how some people need to point out this isnt original or it isn't Pakistani or needs to assert its actually Indian food etc etc. THIS IS NOT A DEBATE WHETHER IT'S FROM INDIA OR PAKISTAN. NO ONE IN THIS VIDEO CARES. ITS JUST FOOD THAT PAKISTANIS EAT AND THAT'S WHY THEY ARE DOING THIS.
None of them cares where it originates from. They are there to just taste and give their view.
Your so called indian food biryani, haleem, nihari and many others are from Muslim Mughal Empire. 😇
@@fahadrajx and? the capital of that empire was delhi, still in india.
and the haleem, kebabs and korma you guys have are nothing in front of what is available in old delhi
Lived in Pakistan my whole life but haven't drank or seen saffron lassi anywhere or ever. But the rest of the food all look very authentic. Great video and i love how everyone's so respectful.
Saffron lassi you wouldn't find on dhaba but some 5-star hotels or high-society restaurants.
The Good Thing is Hunza is one of those Places in Pakistan where the average life of a person is above 87 years it's because of their hygienic and super healthy meals They used to eat barley bread and chick peas vegetables a lot and goat meat as well everything there is cooked in Olive Oil and everything available there is natural and pure and It is one of the most Beautiful Places in Pakistan as well Do Visit there ❤😊👍🇵🇰
This is one of the best episode thank you guys for trying and showing the world true face of PAKISTAN
🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
No Nehari? It’s the national dish! The ultimate comfort food! No Chapli Kabob?
I am a Pakistani and it makes me so happy to see people trying food from my country and enjoying it and by the way great job on this video like really best trying Pakistani food video ever like it’s very informative for the ones who aren’t from Pakistan keep up the great work
Love from Pakistan thanks for the comments but a lot of people don't respect Pakistan god bless you❤😊
Serving Chicken Karahi Without Naan is A crime 🤣😏
But its oki 😂
The Biryani, nihari, haleem, karahi and many other famous Pakistani cuisines are invented during Mughal era. Mughals the empire who ruled Pakistan, india, Afghanistan, Bangladesh. And Pakistan northern areas are near China nor iraq or middle east. Sending Lot's of love from 🇵🇰 ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Not Karahi... Korma yes.
Biryani isn't Pakistani dish
@@abhishekjha4471Biryani is Persian dish Mughal he laye thy idher subcontinent mein 85% dishes Mughal ki he hai Matlab Muslims ki Baki baad mein bhi Jo dishes ijaad hui thi wo bhi humne he ki thi💪
1:45 Sharon's excitement to try the Achar was definitely caught by FBE off-guard.
Her reaction? Well deserved. That's what Achar is supposed to do to you ❤😂
"Pakistan is between middle east and India" OMG being a Pakistani I am just so thankful for this statement.
I cant stop laughing while reading indian jealousy comments. Had hai indians ki. Ab food m b apna 1947 ki dastan shoro kar de.
Loads of love to Pakistan from Afg
ye seriously aise hi karte hain, inn ke sath khana khane betho ye waha partition ki baat shuu ker dete he, haha.
There are stupid people both sides, some became the reason for all the hate and partition.
But north india and pakistan are so similar in terms of taste. If I ever visit any country outside India I would love to visit Pakistan.
Love from India ❤
@@persie56 i do agree with what u said that some become the reason of all the hate and partitionn. I hope one day all the hate ends and countries like Indian , Pakistan, afghanistan, bangladesh and all we can live in peace and love. I pray that one day we leave the hate ki us ney yeh kiya ta, us ney wo kiya ta, yh hamara ta aur wo tumhara ta. Reason of Tha Tha Tha is causing so much hate and partition that even new generation cant live in peace. Stay blessed bro and keep ur positivity
If somebody doesn't understand they r just talking abt the partition and how people hate it or fight abt it on what happened.
It's ridiculous...
Mango lassi is like an alien drink for majority of Pakistanis .. and safron on top .. doesn't happen .. it's either sweet simple buttery lassi or salted (much skimmed) variant .. and you can enjoy it as simple as that .. mango lassi is some American or European fusion for Pakistani lassi
Finally someone noticed our country!! Pakistan zindabad 🇵🇰🇵🇰😊
There’s nothing like your food. This food is older than the existence of your country.
@@avienth2652 Yeah right, our land was uninhabited and the population suddenly sprung into existence in 1947. Or better, the people living here were gifted with the magical ability of not requiring any sustenance. Make sense now, would you? By the same logic, no country existed prior to their land being demarcated.
Might update your knowledge as well 🙂
Pakistan country has four neighbours China, India, Afghanistan and Iran. Balochistan is divided in 2 countries Pakistan and Iran.
North India and Pakistan have almost same food as both regions are dominated with Punjabis and share same History.
I would love to visit Pakistan, Bangladesh or Nepal some day as food and people will feel home.
Love from India ❤
North India and Eastern Pakistan have similar food. Regions of Northern and Western Pakistan have different cuisines.
I am from Pakistan and i can tell you this halwa puri is not up to the mark. It's probably cooked by someone at home in america. I can see the texture and colour of chickpeas and biryani is also not good. Chicken karahi looks pathetic too and we don't eat it with rice. If any restaurant or street vendor will sell the food of this standard in Pakistan. They will shutdown within a month. Sorry but that's true.
They didn't serve anything in its original form. Come to Pakistan and get blown away by the original stuff.
yeah that is what I thought
I love this episode. While I like learning about new cultures, ones that are close to my heritage are nice, because then I have some idea of what they're eating.
Wish they had also tried nihari, choori and pink tea! .. you can’t try Pakistani food without trying them - do a part two !!
Kashmiri tea right 😅
Biryani is one South Africans Favorite dishes so wherever you find a Muslim household or indian you'll find Biryani ❤
My husband is from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and I must say the chicken biryani is so good hands down
As a Pakistani I can say this is the best Pakistani food Iv ever seen and tried!!
i screamed my heart out after watching u guys eat karahi with paratha and not even real paratha xD u shouldve tried Naan or Roti
Happy to see Gilgit Baltistan being represented well! Thanks Guys! Really appreciate it
Loved the video
But Being a Pakistani Some correction is needed here
HUNZA VALLEY is in GILGIT BALTISTAN( THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE N A TOURIST DESTINATION in PAKISTAN n it's a MOUNTAINOUS REGION NOT A DESERT AT ALL)which is A NORTHERN PROVINCE and NOT in KASHMIR...And it's close to CHINA And Not Middle East...
2ndly Great efforts but for the authentic Pakistani food u should come n visit here
This is literally the best trying pakistani food challenge that i know of everyone one so respectful and the dishes were just dope
Bro they completely forgot about jalebi one of the most popular Street foods in Pakistan
Agreed
Disagreed
Not the most popular
@@user-Rayyan123 I said ONE of the most popular it depends on your opinion and I think that jalebi is one of the most popular and I know a lot of people who would agree
I live in Pakistan and I am glad you guys like the food 6:05
2 Mistakes:
No rice with karahi.
And no Saffron in Lassi
But good job otherwise. 👏👏
right never had saffron in lassi nor anyone offers it it like that
Traditionally Saffron is not added in Lassi in most parts of Pakistan, it is only in a select few places. Also, lassi is either sweet or salty but rich with cream either way and only more modern versions of it have different flavours like mango or strawberry or saffron added to the lassi.
So what you guys drank was not a proper lassi.
Ikr saffron is so expensive so you won't find it at any local dairy shop
@@Theforsakened it's only at high end restaurants and hotels where you find mango lassi like this and saffron is like reserved for super special occasions not a lassi.
Saffron lassi is definitely not a popular pakistani drink. Saffron tends to be used a lot more in the Indian cuisine. Hunza, has central asian and Chinese influences in their culinary contour and they are definitely not even remotely close to the middle east.
Finally someone represented Pakistan , thank you so much ❤❤❤
5:15 I noticed that in your video, you mentioned that the northern part of Pakistan is closer to Iraq and consists mostly of deserts.
Thank you.
05:16 WHAT!? that food has nothing to do with iraq, also iraq is nowhere near Pakistan 🤣 and she said it with so much confidence
I was stunned when she said that.
I'm sad about the saffron lassi. You guys should have just made them try the normal lassi I'm sure they'd have liked it better I mean IT'S THE BEST especially in summer season. Also, nihari would have been a great dish to try too.
as a Pakistani, I’m so exited that you tried our food! hope you’ll visit out astonishing Pakistan!💗🌸
