What an amazing game 3, never thought D/D/D would come back from that tbh, it has a surprisingly decent grind game for what’s largely considered a glass canon deck
pure D/D was never a glass cannon deck, it was just not quite good enough before the support. What you think of with glass cannon was the halq build and that still very much is a glass cannon.

The DDD kept forgetting about keplers effect to bounce a DD to hand on summon. Could’ve bounced orthros and abused pops with Thomas quite a few times. KEPLER HAS 2 EFFECTS !! :D

I looked that up some time ago on the judges lounge regarding adding Nirvana High Palading to hand so he'd go FD and the answer was "no". Is there any precedent/ruling for that?
Honestly the only reason the D/D/D player won is because he is a good pilot. He understands the deck and the game. I think D/D/D is in a good spot rn, the addition of the new support gives them the ability to combo with less cards, run more hand traps and get more mileage out of their end board. Before if you didn't have some combination of lamia, necro and swirl you were done. Now you aren't as restricted to those 3 card combos. BUT, the deck still suffers from the same underlying issues, it takes too much brain power to pilot and isnt as forgiving. Look at the board at the end of the game. Blue had a FULL field, and the eldich player still had ample ability to turn the tables and win. Blue was playing around nibiru, all those traps and flood gates. All eldich needed to do was just sit on their resources and not die.
In my opinion definitely pure tribrigade, yeah Tri Luna light has a higher ceiling but involves more bricks, while in pure tribrigade you can play more handtraps
Can someone explain to me why Kali Yuga shuts off Nibiru in g3 / why Eldlich didn't activate Nib before end of M1? Doesn't Nib activate in hand, and Kali Yuga only negate on-board activations and eff?
i dont think the d/d/d player should have went zeus game 3 when he went zeus i could be wrong because the golden lords wouldnt have been able to swing over it and if he summon one from grsve he csn got headhunt and bye himself somemore time i could be wrong tho
@@eleonarcrimson858 i understand that, but at that point your guaranteed to have to deal with one of the two threats (eldlich or Brave), so he couldnt play around that anyways. Its one of those "if they have it, they have it" scenarios; and its not like ddd had anything on field that they didnt want to get bounced back (except maybe the kaiju). The way I see it ogre on cursed at least forced opp to have Brave and gave you a chance of keeping the trap if they didnt have Brave, rather than taking a 50/50
I love D/D/D, but Blue's D/D/D deck is suboptimal, imo. Blue's D/D/D deck has a lot of situational cards. Otherwise, D/D/D is an amazing archetype with a lot of combos.
To each their own, but I wouldn't call Blue's D/D/D deck "pure" when he's maining handtraps that ruin his deck's consistency. From the very start, Blue was making some basic and boring plays. Like, he even ended one board with Gryphon on the field, and Ik for a FACT that D/D/D can make way better boards than that. Just my opinion.
@@ygodecktestertube that’s not how ddd plays, that’s synchro and hybrid and they suck. Pure ddd makes as good boards, he just didn’t play them that well in my opinion. You need handtraps or board breakers. Pure ddd goes well second to break boards and is consistent enough to handle 15 flex spots of whatever you want. I suggest you look into pure ddd lists. Pure references it’s combos not it’s line up in cards. The cards were all standard for a competitive pure tier 2 ddd deck(the only variant of ddd that can be tier 2), there may have been questionable choices for usage of his fuel for comboing, but that’s the folly of many, it’s not much of a combo deck anymore as much as mid ranged

Since Machinex' summom is treated as an xyz summon, he could not have summoned him with his effect since you can't Xyz summon faceup monsters.
23:25 when a monster is bugged you can overlay into it and then detach it
a lot of the time you cant do anything with it

Also pretty sure that Zeus was legal game one. He declared an attack with the rank 10 before ice dragon so didn't he technically battle

I just looked it up, you're not allowed to use Thomas on a Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Pendulum monster

Kali yuga only negates effects on field he could still use effs in the GY
Nibiru activates in the hand though not on field so Kali Yuga does not stop nib from activating
