Guess what I’m holding in my hands? =) it will be going on this week sometime. I have the full Akro exhaust standing by. Had to go pick up torx bits and 12 point sockets for that fun job. Woot woot!
I just sat on a 2018s1000rr and the 2023 s1000rr last week at the dealership. The 2018 felt more comfortable and had a better deal. The 2023 was leaps and bounds over the 2018 in the electronics department. Now i'm sitting here scratching my head on which bike to take. It's a 4k price tag difference that i need to know that it justifies it. How are you liking the bike thus far?
Order a stripped down version, it will save you $3k. I love the 23, very refunded bike and quite a bit better than my 21 R1. I chose the 23 primarily because of the new profile, balanced look and performance improvements over the previous gen and 22 model (rpm flat-spot). 👍👍
I need your opinion. I’ve only been riding for two months. I have a ZX4RR which is my first bike. I plan to ride it for one season to learn the fundamentals then upgrade to a 24 S1K next year. I’m hearing if you put it in rain mode it’ll essentially knock down the HP making it a bigger 600cc. Do you think that’s something I can grow into or would it be better to get a few more years of experience? For reference I’m 42 and don’t ride like a hooligan. I always wear my gear and follow all traffic laws.
You could ride that bike now if you wanted to. It’s one of the easiest handling bikes out there and yes, the modes do dull down the power across the power band. The other thing is that if you are going to buy brand new, they have those thugs restricted to about 6500 rpm for engine break in. That period will give you plenty of time to get used to how it handles before opening it up. Also, the powerband on thr s1k is very linear which is a positive thing IMO. At the end of the day, it’s now about how fast the bike is, it’s how you control yourself. 🤙
Awesome! I just found out that the dealer must unlock the ecu BEFORE you can do the tune, otherwise you will void warranty. I have been trying to rack up miles to get to 600 miles asap so I can go get that done. 👍
@@MotoMaximus I asked my dealer about voiding the warranty with the tune and they told me yes only “if they find out”. The stage 1 has the option for the velocity stacks and relocation kit for some temperature gauge.
Ya I think you can replace the existing combo switch to the one that has cruise control built in. The ECU is already programmed for it, so it would be one of those things you enable. I’m sure the same applies for heated grips. Plug and play.
I'm in my 40s, I own a K1600B and a Victory cruiser. I want one of these bikes so bad and I'm having a hard time deciding as to whether or not I should get one.
The black one does not look better . Theres a reason its the cheapest out of the three models. The storm black is the basic one 😂.. my guy is like it looks much better , at least say in ur opinion
It looks better to me because the giant RR lettering is not there on one side only. That’s MY opinion. Everyone is open to theirs. Also, I’m not a fan of flat red unless it’s a Ducati. White is out of question where I live because it will look like shot after a 10 minute ride due to all of the bugs we get here. So there, that’s my personal feedback.
The white is too expensive. The lettering on the red and the way the black wings stand out on the red isnt as nice as the black, for which everything blends in. I went and looked at them all and bought a black.
ordered mine! can’t wait
Congrats man one day i also wanna buy s1000r
Congrats. Definitely needs the NRC tail tidy kit from Motomillion. Any mod plans?

@@MotoMaximus thanks for the advice! 🙏🏾. I hope to get the 2024 S1k with the M package. You may not like the graphics, but I do😆
@@tiger2q For sure! Now just gotta sit back and wait to see what 2024 will look like.
@@MotoMaximus it’s already up on their website
@@tiger2q oh look at that! looks good to me…
Congrats, if may ask, how much the out door price?
After tax and all doc fees it was $20,200
How long did it take to get the bike when you ordered it? So far waiting 6 weeks now
It was just about 2 months, you are almost there..
Really like your videos, al stay. All the best ✊🏻
Yeah bro! Congratulations. Look into the Brent tune stage 1. I have to order mine still. I got the white one 23 s1000RR.

Oh yeah! Congrats Mine is still on the water. Smh. Container ships are sooo slow!
thanks! It took about 3 weeks between leaving the originating port to the dealership.. Hang in there! 👍
so how does it feel compared to the hayabusa? does it feel as strong?
RR is way lighter and faster… very different riding styles and riding positions too
Have you ridden a 20 s1000rr with ddc?
Never have, no.
Did he say you can still add cruise control to it because I got the same bike and want to add the cruise control and heated grips

@MotoMaximus that would be nice! Y'all should do a video on that because I don't think I've seem a video on that being switched out
Is this the base for this model?
Yes, this is pretty much the base model. I wanted it bare without all the extra electronics. The only thing I added was TPMS.
Nice GT350😉
Haha thanks man - it’s a fun one

It’s an excellent bike, you will not be disappointed. Only one problem - you may end up riding it more than others =)
