That's a fair take overall. There are probably better reds out there, but I do own a bottle of this and use it regularly. It is reliable and well behaved and as I use Clairefontaine paper most of the time, it certainly is at its best. I picked it up in November to use as the red ink for my Christmas cards and letters, paired with Herbin's Lierre Sauvage. I found they matched well and provided a bright contrast to one another. This is interesting. I have a bottle of this, and it's a whole lot darker than yours. On the page, yours looks way too orange for me, but my WAR is definitely a dark red. Not sure about the range of tones, as I don't analyse it as well as you do, but we definitely have two different colours. I don't know if it's a batch issue, or which one is 'right', or whether they changed the formulation. 🤔

This bottle definitely doesn’t come out dark red. It’s either a batch issue or formula change for sure. I tried everything to get this ink to come out darker, but it wouldn’t no matter what I tried. And yeah, the orange and pink tones are there for sure, but that ruby/pink vibe was just overpowering.

good work Yvgenii, love the reviews. This ink looks more like a peach to me from the video but colors don't always come through true on the screen.

This is true. When I make these videos, I try everything I can to make sure they come across as what I see in the room on my BenQ monitor, iPhone, and iPad Pro 1st Gen. That is the hardest part of doing this over the internet. On my 3 screens I got it true to life, but it’s going to come across different to everyone that is using a different setup. I do agree that orange and peach undertones are there, but I was so infuriated by the pink/ruby primaries that I just focused on that to avoid a 10 minute rant.
