Very disappointed that you left out her father’s suicide which cast a cloud over her whole adult life, is one one of the big reasons she sought privacy lest she’d have to address this tragedy in the media, and informed the relationship she had with her mother which is the reason her emotionally fragile mother lived with Harry and Bess until she died. I don’t understand how something this important gets left out of your video.
The Trumans were great folks!
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting videos.
Best was Her own Woman ❤❤❤
Bess had a hard act to follow, in Eleanor Roosevelt. Ms. Roosevelt was one of the most activist First Ladies.
Surprised you didn't mention her father's sucide.I think Harry missed her when she would go back home .
A very special family
Different people are different. Different First Ladies are different.
Theres no mention of Mrs Truman asking for the President's bed to have the slats repaired after they were broken in the middle of the night .
I have only heard good about things her? .where is the dark side? She did the best she could…she lived a human life. Death , happiness , a life well lived .
The first president and first lady that I remember firsthand And probably the best in my lifetime.

the Whitehouse had to be renovated It was on the verge of collapse. The decorating was not extravagant by. Any stretch. the historical stuff had been gone for years. This is why jackie redid everything in the early 60s
Her name is Bess not Best
This guy knows absolutely nothing about Mrs Truman. What a load of vacuous garbage and twaddle.
Having said that Mrs Truman was an outstanding wife mother daughter and first lady.
