In this video Stefanie Marrone discusses how to deal with mean girls and adult bullies. Oftentimes mean girls are motivated by jealousy and insecurity. Something about you makes them feel bad or inferior. And then they take it out on you.
The best way to deal with a bully is to ignore them but I know that often we have no choice and we have to deal with these people. You can neutralize a bully by ignoring them and calling them out on what they’re doing.
Also surround yourself with people who are truly in your corner. If you notice that you have a friend or a colleague who doesn’t seem happy for you when good things happen to you, they may be a frenemy.
