Jeep Wrangler YJ - Remove the Taillights and harness from Rust Bucket

Removing the tail lights from Rust Bucket in preparation for removing the rear section of the tub. This video will give you a good heads up how the lights are mounted and how the factory harness is ran.

All the rust definitely sucks, but it is really working in your favor in terms of disassembling the entire Jeep; you have easy access holes everywhere LOL

Guess I learned something new from this video even though I've taken my taillights apart before. My taillights are a pain to remove because I guess the previous owner put body armor on the rear corners, so he bought new housings and re-drilled the holes to make it fit better I guess. I had to stick my entire arm up in the wheel well to get a wrench on the nuts on that side, not fun

Yep .. they were drilled for clearance. When I installed the LED tail lights in my '91 I had to open the hole up a bit. NO FUN getting up inside the rear fender to get to the bolts!! Thanks for dropping in man!! Have a great day!!

The wiring harness behind the passenger taillight is all corroded and broken at the plug. How can I access this to replace the wire ?
