I LOVED my stay at Conrad. Got upgraded to the one bedroom suite by booking a strip view room through Amex FHR and it was the height of luxury. You can also get upgraded to a one bedroom suite by having Hilton Diamond status. Both assuming availability. It's nice to see that they have a fridge in the standard room as well but I would be missing a bathtub if staying in the room that you had. At checkin, when I stayed in January, they told me that I could only use that $25/person hilton gold credit at suns out buns out or the kitchen. But I'm in agreement with you, if the room prices stay reasonable, it will be one of my go-to strip hotels.

@@YellowProductions For clarity, to get the upgrade to a one bedroom suite through Fine Hotels and Resorts, I had to book a strip view room which was $20 more than the standard room. If I had booked the standard room, my upgrade would have been to a strip view, not a suite.

Weird how divided this hotel is. I stayed at the Conrad in December for a convention and did not enjoy my stay. It's beautiful and new, however I was upset with the lack of services and how nickle and dimed everything was. It's owned by a hotel company from Macau, where if you are not familiar with mainland Chinese tendencies, if it's not chained to the wall it will be taken. So as you mentioned, they don't offer individual bathroom soaps etc. and the large bottles are literally affixed to the wall. They did not offer luggage carts or luggage service to Conrad guests that parked in the parking structure since it's such a long walk and they don't want you taking carts through the casino. There's no housekeeping unless you stay longer than 4 days. There's no room service so you have to walk downstairs to their fast casual restaurants or door dash food to your room. I didn't notice any fine dining options, but perhaps I missed it. The only food options off property nearby were a taco or wing place. The pools were not open at the time and they had no jacuzzi available or suites with baths so if you wanted to soak after a long day you have to pay $140 (not including the mandatory 20% gratuity, which was not advertised) and make a reservation just to use the day spa's jacuzzis (I did enjoy the day spa after a long day on my feet though! [$280 total for 3hr use of spa facilities + 1hr massage]). The lack of a desk was an issue for me as well and I had to have my long laptop cable strewn across my room which was a tripping or laptop breaking hazard. You are 3 miles from Caesars Palace area of the strip and 3 miles from Fremont St. so you can't really walk anywhere fun. Some other nitpick things: The phones are automated so you have to go through an endless options menu before you can speak to a live person. The floors are locked off requiring you to swipe your keycard to get to your floor so we couldn't visit friends on other floors unless they came down to the lobby to let each other up to their floor. The slippers seemed like were size 6 men's, I literally couldn't even squeeze my feet (size 11) into them. There's no continental breakfast of any sort, your only option was Sun's Out Buns Out. And lastly, the most egregious for me (half joking) was waking up in the morning only to realize that there was no coffee maker in the suite and I had to trudge down to the Starbucks on the 1st floor clear across the casino to get some caffeine in me!

      So many errors & exaggerations

    • @Brad-ku9yu
      @Brad-ku9yu 2 роки тому

@@Hintonbro. Eh, not entirely, I do have an update though, so your comment is timely. I re read my comment and still stand by most of what I said, the only error was the bath comment since they do have rooms with baths if you specifically request it. I actually just got back home from another convention last night but this time stayed at TI since it was closer to the event. I will say that the Conrad rooms were heaps and bounds better, TI was just too dingy. I've never experienced allergies before but every time I brought the sheets near my face my nose would seal shut to where I had to go to cvs and buy a bottle of afrin just to sleep the second night. Again, no access to jacuzzi after 6pm (is this just a thing now in LV? Can you not access a jacuzzi at night unless you get a suite with one in it?) No robes at TI, so I have to give credit to Conrad for that. Also there was an iron but no ironing board (Conrad had both). I found myself going back to Resorts World Casino a lot. I really like the craps tables there, TI had no live craps tables. I tried eating at the dumpling place this time in the Resorts World casino and it was really bad. What TI had over Conrad was location and services, what Conrad had over TI was comfort and cleanliness. Both hotels showers were upsetting and barely trickled. Oh huge thing I'm remembering now was the thermostat, Conrad you could dial it in, TI was either freezing cold or off. Lastly, TI didn't have coffee in room either.

That looks really nice! It is neat how there are multiple hotels at Resorts World. For a really nice hotel like that, you definitely got a very good deal. Of course, I'm sure it will be much more expensive on weekends or during peak travel times. I like that they offer free parking, but I suspect that they incorporate the parking fees into the resort fee. I definitely would stay there if the rates were quite good!

Update: The restaurant Marigold at Resorts World closed definitely on December 2, 2021 for no reason whatsoever, this was a restaurant with classic American dishes where lobster was the main ingredient. The Crossroads restaurant and Crossroads Burgers by Tal Ronnen will feature fine dining with plant based ingredients that even carnivores will enjoy and it will open in Spring 2022.

From what I’ve heard, a decent chunk of that $4.3 Billion was a result of the INCREDIBLY TORTURED construction history of this facility, and includes the costs of not only what’s there now, but the failed original construction of the original Echelon Place complex in 2007-8 (which formed some of the framework they built a few of the buildings from) as well as the costs of tearing down and repairing some of the existing derelict original buildings

The pillows were awful, the Chromecast didn't work for me, the resort is too big and felt like a mall instead of a hotel, and the slot machine and table game variety was limited. Hi Linda. Rates were way cheaper thru resorts World when I booked. Then I had them add my Hhonors number upon checkin to get the food credits

Why bring children to a Vegas casino resort? Vegas strip ain’t supposed to be kids friendly

Chris said gambling revenue has gone down on the strip? Several sources I've seen say it was at a record high.

Hello, would you recommend this hotel vs Waldorf Astoria?

I think Resorts World is a better hotel. Waldorf Astoria has a better location

@@YellowProductions thank you for the videos and for replying. I'm undecided between the two hotels. Using my hilton points as well. I do like the conrad but being at the end of the strip is what's holding back.

Not a bad location, a TERRIBLE location !!! We were in Vegas earlier this month, and the place was dead on a Sunday. Its a gorgeous property, but I think people will treat it like the M Resort... one of those places where you check in, and spend the majority of your visit at the property. It might get better when the Tesla tunnel is up and running, but only if the tunnel drops you near a monorail station. Thanks Chris !!!!

4 and a half star is too high. I say 3 and s half star. The resorts world is new and nice but I suggest stay at the other hotels on the strip and just visit the resort world. The price you paid for the rooms does not justified how the room is like. You paid almost the same for Hilton which is the "ghetto" rooms at resort world. Then you paid more for conrad which is like a normal room looking room with no desk. Or you can pay a suite like price for a normal room for crockford. The room is too pricey for what they offer. The price on food is stupid at resorts world. I do like the variety of Asian cuisine but ofcourse it is own by a Chinese company. I have a feeling resorts world will lose quite a bit of money because the people who stayed there once never wanted to stay their again. Except for Yellow production i guess.

$ 4B+ to build for the Chinese market (with red & gold color scheme), which won't return for years (if ever). People are already whispering "white elephant."

I wont be staying there again. This place is way way over priced and really inconvenient to go anywhere else. they are also planning to charge cover to access the infinity pool. The day club is also very small... comparable to the old tao beach.

I repeat again. Do NOT play blackjack at Resorts World. Make them pay for 6-5 blackjack and continuously shuffled blackjack with empty tables and dealers standing around getting paid to do nothing.
