My ophthalmologist told me I could never wear contacts because my eyes are like sandpaper. Funny thing is I never had any idea or pain, or discomfort at all until I started going to her. I’m so glad I found your channel.
I’ve tried literally EVERYTHING for my dry eyes!!! I’ve had plugs put in permanently. I’ve been prescribed Restasis and Xiidra but I’m worried about using them for a long time and that there’s side effects. I recently had upper bleph which made them worse!!! I wear glasses and I wear contacts but can never find contacts that work with my dry eyes. I have trouble with seeing the contacts when I wear clear ones. I prefer the dailies as well. I’ve been trying the Alcon dailies define. They have a little dark ring around the lens that enhances the eye colors. I don’t want to wear them for any other reason than the convenience of being able to see them in my eye when I go to take them out. Are there daily hard contacts? Also, are there colored ones? Thank you for the information.
Try Life Extension Tear Support supplement. It's got Maqui berry in it which is good for dry eyes. Also get a B12 supplement. I have dry eyes too. I wear Proclear daily contacts. Bauch & Lomb came out with Infuse which is good for dry eyes too.
@@galaxyglitterlatte4664 I also have dry eyes as well. I currently wear Acuvue Oasys 1-day which is a silicone hydrogel contact lens. Even Bausch & Lomb Infuse contacts are good but they’re quite expensive since it’s new in the market. I tried samples of those from my optometrist. For me the 1-day Oasys works best for my dry eyes and I’m able to get them at a decent price with coupon codes or rebates.
I am a cricketer and want to use non-recognizable contact lenses of (-2.5 power). What kind of (non-recognizable) contact lense do you prefer? Hard/soft/anything else?
There have been some studies that link MGD to contact lenses use, which conclude the longer the people use it the worse their MGD. What do you think of those studies? Does contact lense use cause MGD?
I developed undereyes recently . I went to a skin specialist and he suggested a cream which contains retinol . It is basically an anti aging cream on which was written that the application on eye sockets should be avoided .But I went ahead and used it as my dr had advised. Since then,I have developed dry eyes.I believe retinol coupd clog oil glands .I dont have bulges around or infection in the eyes which could indicate clogging of oil glands .I have discontinued usage of the cream and the dr said he wasn't aware that I wear contacts. He said the problem is temporary . I hope so!! Also,I used the cream for 10 days only(30mins for first 4 dats, then 1 hr for next 4 days, then 2hrs for 2 days ). Is my problrm a coincidence with the usage of the cream? Also, will it fo on its own. I am very sad and anxious😒

The daily ones if they dry up for whatever reason like wind or pc screen they don't get any moisture back and I then have to throw them in the trash can
How can the outer surface of sclerals be adequately wetted with compromised tears? It makes no sense. Dry eye people must have immense wetting issues issues with the outer surface of sclerals.
They’re definitely more expensive than RGPs. Probably looking at a couple thousand and up between the fit and lenses. Depends greatly on where you go. Luckily several of the most popular vision plans like vsp and eyemed have plans that will cover them. Even some medical insurances will help if they are deemed “medically necessary”
I paid $2,000 in 2019 for a set of scleral lenses. The manufacturer was Valley Contacts. My vision was fantastic, but I could wear them for only about 2 hours before they became uncomfortable. If I wore them for more than a few hours, when I took them out my corneas were deformed and my vision could not be corrected with eyeglasses. The problem corrected itself after 24-36 hours.
I’ve tried EVERYTHING!! My grandma lived to be 94 but she suffered with glaucoma and so did her brother so I’m worried about going blind because of my dry eyes. I’m trying to do everything I can and still be able to live my life without suffering so bad from these dry eyes. In your experience, after upper bleph, do dry eyes go away eventually? Also, do hot compresses and messages work? I wear lash extensions but I don’t think they contribute to my dry eye problem.
I see an eye doctor every few months for this problem and she said my eyes are okay but just dry. She thinks it’s safe to wear contacts. Is there anything I can do to make the pressure feeling go away from wearing contacts? When I use certain eye drops with sodium, they seem to dry my eyes out worse. Should I stick to drops with glycerin? I’m sorry about all these questions but, there has to be a solution. I have had clogged glands a few times. Maybe hot compresses and messages?

Halo vision begins after wearing my right eye contact lense for a few hours thus requirind its withdrawal. One hour is then required to regain normal visión.
Any time you are sick it is always a good idea to be extra careful around your mucous membranes. Accidentally exposing your eyes (via your fingers/contacts) to a virus could cause a secondary infection like pink eye.
Takes about 5 seconds to start burning like fire... But only in my right eye. Left eye is comfortable.
probably got lint in your contacts
is it dangerous to wear contacts with dry eyes? would it stick to the eye or damage it?

Maybe its a psychosomatic symptom since u didnt have issues before she told u ur eyes are dry so now u think they are dry.
Do you have any suggestions on good eye drops and ointments for multi use?

I thought hard lenses were discontinued n the last century 😀😅😂
You are quite beautiful
I mean you could just wear normal glasses lol.

The thing is that some of us are tired of glasses, specially now
Well don’t complain then, ur the ones putting plastic on ur eyes which isn’t normal 😂
My vision is corrected better with contacts so contacts are a must
