I have one of those from about two decades. I believe it actually has a beefier on one side than yours has. I think they call that the wrecking bar when I got mine. And I still use it when needed more for tearing out old rotten fence 4x4-6x6 supports
I've had one for years and it's one of my go-to tools for a variety of tasks. I forget what I paid for it, but I'm certain it was more than $6.50. Great find.
I'm a big fan of Vaughan & Bushnell / Dasco pro bars and have a bunch of them. Fyi if you're looking for a deal go with the Grayvik, V&B offers all of their cosmetic 2nds for dirt cheap under the Grayvik line.
If anyone prefers green to blue, im pretty sure vaughn is the oem for all the USA prybars at menards. Full range from 5-42". They also have the Wilde ones like walmart.
I’ve thought about buying one of those kind of demo bars forever. It definitely would be good to have if you were tearing out a bunch of stuff in a house. 8 bucks is a good deal for sure. Gotta love the Lowes clearance section.
I wouldn’t even wanna use it! It’s sad Vaughan doesn’t stamp anymore they just have everything painted on. So when our kids go to restore our hammers or whatever tool they won’t even know the brand.
@@qzetu it’s all good man you had me second guessing myself if they stamp their newer pry bars😂 they just use a sticker on the pry tool and the hammers it’s some type on ink stamp. Just makes me wonder how much money they’re saving by skipping they process.
I have one I bought new about a year ago. It had one little tiny V stamped on it and that’s it. Still a good bar. It’s a 15 inch. This 21 inch is going to great for demo. Can’t wait to use it. I’m like you though I kind of don’t want to use it at the same time 😂
Why do that when Vaughan & Bushnell makes a good catspaw and you can buy American. When it's something more unique I'll buy Japanese and have absolutely nothing against the high quality tools coming out of Japan today, but America comes first for me.

I’ve got some grayvik in the cart on HJE right now. Still waiting to pull the trigger on a large order from them lol.

I wish we had Menards in the south. I’ve never been!
I picked up an Irwin demo bar with the 2x4 ripping claw for $8 (lightly used😂) on Lowe’s clearance and that beast is heavy- like 6 pounds

Lucky find. How muchormal price?
They are still reasonably priced new. They are about 20 bucks.
That is a very good demo bar. Foir the price you got a steal.
Yea man my eyes lit up when I saw it in a pile of junk tools lol

It is stamped.
@@qzetu that’s old new stock
@@nickshowsstuff435 oh, your comment sound like you were talking about this one. My bad.

Man, if a stamped piece of sheet steel gets you excited, you need to get yourself a Japanese made Catspaw.
Flatbars and catsclaw have different uses
They make good ones in Japan?

@@TylerSnyder305 Why would I chose something inferior just because it's US made?
@@Callelle6251 what's inferior about it ?
Vaughan & Bushnell makes a damn good cats paw, all their pry bars are great tools.
I have 2,I think I paid 6.50 25 years ago 👍📐🔨✌
Heck yea. If you want to beat inflation, you have to buy your tools at thrift stores and estate sales now a days.
