    Hi there. Here in Spain we call this tool (llave inglesa)........english wrench. You need to get and Irimo wrench for your collection. The Irimo system is the most common adjustable wrenches here in Spain Serch for: Llave inglesa Irimo Llave inglesa palmera 👍. Irimo and palmera belongs to snap-on company too

    Excellent tool review, appreciate you sharing. PS Colonial Germans/Klein (family owned) VS Fatherland Germans/Knipex (family owned) I'm torn. I think that Knipex would be more comfortable for your wrist using it all day long, but the Klein has a bit more weight too it, which would make it more comfortable cutting with all day long, Klein less easy on your wrist but easier for your fingers and vice versa for the Knipex. Hope this made sense I'm not a native English speaker. All the best.

    I find the old American made craftsman tools are just as good as snap on.the socket release on the sears makes it weaker,but much better if working in oily work.i use both,and find no diffrence otherwise.

    Spyderco drill bits are the best. It’s like $35 for a set of everything but the 1/2 inch. They drill stainless super easy and are just amazing. By far the best value drill bits I’ve found.

    I just ordered the new(er) Klein 13-1 "impact ready" screwdriver for $22 and change from Amazon. It uses 2-ended impact bits, which can also be used in your impact driver. Conversely, you can use impact bits in it. I only need annoying short bits for tight places with a stubby.

    They completely missed the mark. Its like they responded just to respond without any thought on how people use the tool. they could have just updated the OG ones with a nice button system and the cross hatching. I love the Knpx because they grip like nothing else, the handles are nice and slim.

    I highly recommend the Japanese made 'Tsunoda PLC-200S Slim Pliers with Spring'. For just a few dollars more than the regular PLC-200, the spring pair have additional machining to receive a small, hidden spring under the rivet, making them spring 'open return' pliers, and boy are they nice. Aside from the spring, and the extra three bucks (Cdn.), everything else is exactly the same as the regular 'slims' (PLC-200), and the spring also aides in flipping the pliers to the second position one handed. Additionally, the 'Slims' have a 'hot rivet' in place of the more common nut and bolt, minimizing play, as well as diagonally opposed teeth for vastly improved grip.

    I keep both in my tool bag. With that being said, If I could only have one, it would be the adjustable wrench. pliers wrench is great if you are torquing it while standing vertical to the handle. Well where I work a lot of times you only got straight-in access to nuts and bolts, so in those cases I can only get my wrench on horizontal to me. in that case, I’d stick that adjustable on the nut and hit the side of it with my hammer to loosen the rusted nut. Can’t do that with a pliers wrench because, as you mentioned, you need to grip both handles to on them to prevent them from slipping. Anyway, I went on eBay and bought some vintage craftsmen made in USA adjustables and they work better than 90 percent of the shit out there nowadays. I highly recommend older tools

  • @baronamru5893
    @baronamru5893 Місяць тому

    Can't believe how stupid, rather stubborn you are. You do have to squeeze both handle just to prevent it from falling down, can't you see? It's a fucking wrench. What do you expect other than some sort of squeeze mechanism. Go ahead use your adjustable wrench (century old technology ) since you like it so much.

  • @sammiches6859
    @sammiches6859 Місяць тому

    Your main argument is that you can use the adjustable wrench while only applying pressure from one side at this point (and while pushing, because you can always have pressure on both sides of the pliers wrench while pulling). That is such a niche advantage compared to the many benefits of a faster reset, crimping ability, much larger sizing, and not having them come loose if you're using them right. Technically, if you're using any wrench correctly, you will always reset so you're always pulling on them to eliminate the risk of destroying your knuckles, which completely mitigates and disproves your "proof" because you're suggesting the only way the adjustable wrench is superior is when both tools are used improperly. The pliers wrench has far more potential, capability, and speed. All that said, if you want raw torque, get a real wrench made for that fastener.

    • @sammiches6859
      @sammiches6859 Місяць тому

      Oh, and all of this is shattered by the Knipex Raptors, which solve all of the complaints listed about the pliers wrench. You can push from only one side and they clamp harder as you apply force because they operate like the Cobras, only they're flat-faced and contact 3 sides. They're not as versatile as the pliers wrench, but they will crush the adjustable wrench in potential torque capacity because they're specifically made for rounded fasteners in the first place.

  • @sammiches6859
    @sammiches6859 Місяць тому

    You are brave to post this. The only time I use an adjustable wrench is when tensioning glass refrigerator door springs on commercial Hussman refrigerators. Even that will soon be replaced by a small pliers wrench, and I've already decommissioned my large adjustable wrench with a Fujiya pliers wrench made in Japan (only $40 compared to Knipex) They cover a much larger area than 2-4 adjustable wrenches, allow me to apply much more torque, double as copper tubing clamps, are faster to adjust, and are lighter than the equivalent-sized adjustable wrench. They aren't worth their weight anymore.
