With this, one can brag about having a car even Max cannot overtake.
😂😂😂
nikita can
Fellow fan here and yes he can’t
haaaa
The front view of this car is simply ugly - esotropia @ 2:23
As per usual, Henry gives a detailed and mature review. Well done.
U like Matures?😉🤣
British accents work like that, they'd tell you slavery was okay to use in monarchy and people would be all in it oh wait
@@einautofan6685 Mature & curvy!
Lets be honest - people who buy this will do so cause it looks cool. Nothing wrong with that by the way.
It looks ugly compared to previous gen
Not that there's anything wrong with that
@@kellyr.tourigny6762 I get that but you can't get that out of the car driving back and forth to a bakery.
What.. People buy almost every sportscar for that reason. XD
@@jacejohnson7113 i mean its like porsche its not ment to be the attension seeker but those who see one and know what it is know is a pretty cool car
Aston Martin: "No more Mercedes Safety car, we're it!"
Mercedes: "Pop the hood..."
Lol 😆 lol 😆 hilarious.
Shut up, we don't talk about that
😂😂😂
“The car gets better, the harder you drive it”…..I’m not sure I’ve ever read or heard that about a road Aston, superb effort by the engineers. Top video as always from this channel.
Can we get Henry, Chris Harris & Tiff Nedell on a show? No road trips, no goofy competitions, just car reviews.
Yes, real journalists not actors.
I would loose my s*** if this happened, especially if the holy Top Gear trio were to join!
@@anydaynow01 Tiff and Henry are level above those three.
Nothing wrong with roadtrips if its Harrys garage style
No! Let’s keep it like it is!
Absolutely gorgeous, and that colour is amazing!
I agree. I see quite a few grumbles about the styling in the comments but to my eyes the shape and the paint look very sharp, very modern. I think the spoiler even works for this F1 special.
Mercedes-AMG CEO is now Aston CEO, of course he sees the value of using a brand as F1 Safety Cars.
If anything, Mercedes-AMG can still claim their engines powers the F1 Safety Cars. Win win?
That’s very true lol
Well the Mercedes AMG GTR is still active so they'd be able to regardless.
I would have preferred the mesh grille for this.
I could watch Henry all day. Great video.
Aston always kill the competition when it come to building a stunning looking car, the satin paint pushes this one to the next level 👍
Awesome review Henry and Carfection. No one else gets close to how Henry exquisitely explains how the car feels/handles and with such detail.
Beautiful car! The seats seem more gt than f1.
edit: posted comment as he mentioned the seats
Henry's way, as an editor, is in a class by itself. It's what he says and how he says it. All polish.
He says it in english, actually
@@Marz2695 LMAO
I love how the AMG V8 performs but dislike the fluttery sound.
The naturally aspirated v12* in the older vantages sounded much cooler.
No shit
Blame emission regs for that one :/
...& just when I think I can't possibly desire any new Aston's they do this! Simply stunning!
Aston Martin would run the supercar market if they designed interiors with the same passion they do their exteriors
I’ve been trying to think of a clever way to describe how I feel about the interior of this car and you’ve done the work for me. Totally agree.
@@JonTruelove it's a gorgeous car nonetheless
Lovely, lovely, lovely looking car. Love Astons. Great video !
In my opinion the Vantage has matured really well since its relaunch. At first I wasn’t so sure about its looks even if I love any Aston really, but over the years they have refined it with details that have made it look stunning. This one is no exception. I do miss the old noize though!
Beautiful review as always, thanks Carfection!
Amazing stuff as always!
By far, the best reviews in this jungle.
Great video Henry.
Saw one of these in person and just HAD to know everything about this car!!!
Saw this in person and was blown away how nice and aggressive it looks
I'm not one for green. But the vantage in satin (British racing?) green is just breathtakingly gorgeous.
Great car, great video. One of the few I have seen with double exchause pipes.
You don’t really buy a Aston Martin for the track, you buy it for the feel and fun. They do have a certain feel to them, heavy, sometimes weird transmission feels but a delight to drive and the looks… what a beautiful car. Also weight 1 year and you’ll get them for 50% off priced in the used market lol
A special edition that’s actually got some dynamic improvements!
Great looking Aston, especially in the AM racing green.
Infinite Movie, Its Very Sick for them to Showcase this Amazing Car.
Wow very exciting!
Looks like Aston Martin has cracked the code! Nice review!
Placing the other in 2 weeks. After that is long waiting time. Splendid car, Aston.
Waiting patiently for mine early July!
Cool thanks for the info update
I do love this car more and more😍😍
I second that. 😊
A bloke in my village has one of these. I melt just looking at the thing
The vantage including is edition is extremely good value imo. Wish I had access to a track and the dough.
The exhaust is soo good
Especially for a car post Particle filter in 2021
fart
great car, awesome review as per usual. I'm not so keen on the wing, but hey functional so its ok. Not a fan of the wheel design or the grill. But would still buy......if I could get a manual one
At last..an Aston Martin that I like again! Even the satin paintwork looks good which is rare with matt or satin . So yes one of those would be good! 🙂🙂🙂
Henry those wheels are ridiculous, but they do sort of suit the car's proportions. What is up with the T-shirt? You got a bike? Talk about it, I'd listen. I'm sure a lot of us would. Sweet video man.
Finally, a reason to watch Formula 1 again.
That is lovely
It's the nicest model in the vantage range. I really like it. Wasn't really a fan before.
There's a lot to be said for not ruining a car with stupid colour combos that include florescent finishing
If Henry makes a car film, I’m watching it. That’s it. That’s my criteria.
I think I'm in love
Sublime. Aston Martin, there is no substitute.
British version of Hal Emmerich this host is. And without a doubt, this Aston is bloody jaw dropping gorgeous.
It clearly handles like the overall masterpiece it is
Cool car 👍👍
How much is the optional light bar? Cos you want that, don't you?
Great video!
How has someone not done a head to head comparison between this and the amg GT- R
i see harry, i click
one of the best looking aston martin to date.
I like it and hate it. Both looks stunning but the overhang on the grill throws me off.
But legitimately like it.
@James Smith that's right. It doesn't
Wonder how many people will satin ppf their vantage and stick a wing on it now this is around, it does look epic!
Hey do a video on Gt black series
I always wondered - how does AM always have the same plate on their review cars?
you have really read between the lines of his words here, as he's quite kind
I used to Love fast Cars but with all the regulation in the UK and the number of cars on the Road I now Fly so much fun no speed limits and open skys if you can afford this you can afford to be a pilot in your own aircraft
Still not convinced by the current Aston family styling, especially after the gorgeousness of the previous generation. Not that they're in any danger of losing a sale to me, I'll keep my rusty old heap until it dies.
Incredible car! I love it!
I don't find the host particularly engaging. Seems like you got a literature major from university that liked to drive.
Where's the passion? You're driving a track spec supercar! You should be excited!
Everytime I hear about manufacturers adding steering feel to their hardcore models, I wonder why they don't do their best to bake that into all their models
Because optimization costs time and money
Love that Aston Martin doesn’t cheat the nordshleife time with rear wheel steering too. Wish more would avoid the gimmicks for faster times.
How is that cheating? That’s just clever engineering. Makes the car more stable at high speeds and improves the turning cycle in slow speed corners. Not a gimmick but a big improvement
Wtf?? How do you get the idea that that is cheating??? We have pretty much pushed the performance of current road tires to it's limits with conventional suspension, so now we need to improve handling without putting more load on the tires and that's what rear wheel steering does.
Do you see rear wheel steer in ANY racing series? WEC, IMSA, etc.? It’s a gimmick to cut off seconds on ring laps. It’s a gimmick
@@Braydenplaysallday you are comparing race cars, that only have to compete on a racetrack with streetcars that need to be able to handle multiple scenarios. Rear wheel steering is an attempt to broaden the usable range of a sports car while also providing significant performance enhancements. This is not a gimmick, it is a masterclass of engineering. Your comparison is not really convincing
It’s personal preference, don’t care to convince anyone really. I prefer my sports cars to have natural driving characteristics instead of having to use parlor tricks to help me drive/track a car. Sorry ✌🏻
Yes. Oh yes. (But that wing really, really jars)
Henry, Chris, Jethrow
gorgeous car for sure
Looks like an upgraded MX5 from the front. Aston Mazda Vantage.
Aston Martin is pretty much the step child of Mercedes Benz at this point haha
They're not
@@graygamingps4503 Well who provides the electronics and drive train? Who is the CEO? What is Daimler's shareholding in AM?
@@uberseehandel They do provide some on the drive trains now but at least they've been fettled with by AM, different turbos different exhaust etc. unlike some other manufacturers. The electronics never come into it for me because literally every performance brand you can mention uses a more mainstream manufacturers electronics. 95% of sports/super cars now are just other cars in a skin. Aston Martin are still designed in the UK, built in the UK and assembled in the UK. Aston Martin even use their own chassis and platform (for how long I don't know) and the only others I can think of that do this are McLaren and Ferrari. Don't get me wrong, as an Aston fan I don't like thay V8 under the bonnet but in the grand scheme of things compared to everyone else they are very much still an Aston Martin in my opinion
@@graygamingps4503 According to Lawrence Stroll, "They'll still be AMG components but bespoke-manufactured in Germany."
So not fettled by AM.
Time to face up to reality, AM has joined Rolls Royce and Bentley, selling German internals covered by a British frock. This is no bad thing, far from it.
Sadly, the largest British owned car company is Morgan now that McLaren is predominantly foreign owned.
Incidentally, which mainstream manufacturer supplies McLaren roadcars' electronics?
@@uberseehandel I believe that quote is referring to the new 'bespoke' engines coming in the next few years, not the current one being used in Vantage, DBX and certain DB11's. I'm not getting into an argument with you but I'm an Aston Martin enthusiast and believe me I have done my research. When I get chance today I can tag you in a few articles where it explains what I mean, I know for one the firing order has been changed. Still, they're not even close to being similar to Bentley, Rolls etc. As I said in my first comment, they're built on their own platform in the UK, the vast majority of the car is still AM. The same simply cannot be said about the other two. The days of a car manufacturer being owned by the country is resides in a long gone I'm afraid, shareholders come in all shapes and sizes and come from anywhere on the globe. I'd wager the vast vastajority of manufacturers are 'foreign owner' if we follow thay principle. On the Mclaren comment, I said 'literally every' performance brand uses a mainstream manufacturers electronics, McLaren are cleary the exception here and that's maybe the reason they have so many electrical gremlins
Great review as ever. What I never understand with F1 safety cars is why they don't use proper supercars from Ferrari or McLaren which presumably would be able to lap faster than a GT style car from Aston or Merc...
I know nothing about F1 but I'd assume Aston or Mercedes have to pay to have their cars there (and they're basically an ad for the company) whereas Ferrari or McLaren are probably winning races so they don't need to?
@@TC-lk2ev mercedes won way more than Ferrari and McLaren in the last couple of seasons. Its not even close. That McLaren and Ferrari build great and fast road cars doesn’t mean they build the best f1 cars. Redbull is a sugar water company but they build a beter f1 cars than road car manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and Aston martin.
Because its advertising and you don’t want the safety car to be to fast because that defeats the purpose of a safety car in the first place. If they wanted fast lap times they would have used an f1 car as a safety car.
Cmon AMC….. I need this
Very nice, but I’d delete that wing (if it’s possible to do so?)
Am I the only one who like the the vulcan style Vantage much more ?
Strangely the paint and the decal seem to make it look better by disguise the lights and making it a little more aggressive ...no bad thing to me anyway ...almost as cool as the old AMR cars 😊
I’d have mine in “touring” spec, i.e. minus the extra wing. It looks a bit aftermarket bolt on.
Looks like an Aston Martian crashed in to Halfords
That’s Aston for you
wow
They have to update the infotainment system asap
Lovely sounding and looking car...until your eyes reach the spoiler.
I would buy this if I was a millionaire because it's F1 merchandise you can drive
I'm a simple man, I see a Carfection video, especially with Henry behind the wheel.
Yep it’s Aston Martin season.
I do find myself liking this car more and more, even if I can't entirely accept that its engine is from Stuttgart...
What's wrong with that??
@@obidean3964 Aston Martin is a premium brand that is perfectly capable of making its own engine. I understand that this is the cheaper alternative but it dilutes the marque imho...
If it’s the F1 Edition why not have the standard aggressive bottom feeder grill? That’d suit the car better also a wing like what the Huracan STO with a shark fin connected to the spoiler. This looks half arsed IMO
Looks like someone took their vantage to west coast customs or some naff styling garage
Wack on a matte wrap, spoiler and black out bits
I know it sounds snobbish, but i don't like the different gap sizes of the panels. Needs to be consistent or it gives the idea of bad quality control
A better effort than the last one but they still haven't got the grille right !!
What a sexy beast. May actually be almost as good looking as my Granturismo.
I'd delete the wing! Looks mega.
Their GOAL 'ring time was 46 seconds off the record in a car badged F1 Edition? I should certainly hope the car isn't too stiff on normal roads!
So fast
I was going to say, Mercedes didn’t really lose their spot providing the safety car or the medical vehicle. Since these latest Astons are still Mercedes just with a different badge. Much like it’s F1 team Tracing Point. 😉
Regardless, the F1 edition does look pretty intriguing. 👍🏻
These Astons are far from just a Mercedes with a different badge
Do the seats really move around that much????
Bloody hell, just look at it. I'm not sure £142k can ever be classed as a bargain, but that doesn't sound unreasonable at all...
In stills I wasn't a fan but its great in motion
The F1 badges on the side gills are wonky and it’s really bothering me
typical aston
I generally don't like wings on astons but damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I’ve not managed to blag a ride in the medical car despite doing medic duties at F1 - I think I’ll be trying a bit harder this year…
I'd be happy to offer my own opinion in a real world test drive !!! Just send the car !!
So they build it to make a certain laptime on the nurburgring
Safe to assume it'll be way too harsh on the road
It'll be so stiff and harsh driving at low speeds, have to bring a spare set of arms and arse cheeks.
Not really. Just because it has an improved laptime doesn't mean it has to sacrifice comfort. I am pretty sure the Gordon Murray T50 can go around the Nordschleife in 7 minutes, doesn't mean it isn't comfortable
The harshness criticism of Nürburgring developed cars is a perennial misapprehension common amongst British motoring journalists and commentators.
Take a race car to the ring, such as the Porsche GT3 Supercup, and the first thing that happens is that suspension is raised, spring rates changed and the car is made "softer".
Look at the manufacturers who keep premises and development teams at the Nürburgring, their cars are not all harshly sprung.
I wouldn't assume anything.
@@uberseehandel it's a narrow high speed track that favors stiff suspension
Not a criticism of the ring..just a reality of what it takes to reduce a cars time on track
@@Meowface.
The Nürburgring does not necessarily favour stiff suspension. On more than one occasion, Porsche, having developed a 911GT3 softens the suspension on the subsequent GT3 RS, in order to improve handling, and, inter-alia, lap-times.
