Is this better than a Mercedes AMG GT C/ GT R objectively?
I drove both the gtc and the aston. I ended up with the Aston. The amg better on track probably but I think the Aston is criminally underrated. When driving on the road the Aston had better road manners and felt more special and I loved the soundtrack better. And I loved the steering wheel much better than the AMG.

As much as I love Aston Martin, that doesn’t look like it’s capable or even comparable to the new Porsche 992 GT3. Maybe it’s closest competition are something between the AMG Mercedes GT S and the GT R models. But hey, we all love to watch new videos from Auto Express with Steve! Make that a track battle, please!

I’m not even a fan of the design tbh. Especially the front lights or wheels on this model. And atm, if you purchase an AM, the only colour they seem to have is green, green or green. 🤣🤣
The problem with the GT3 is it's almost impossible to buy, I also think the Aston is a lot prettier than another 911.

Incredible car, but for the same or similar price, would you not rather get an AMG GTR Pro? Arguablly the better track car (too stiff for daily road use though).
Cant wait for the 992 GT3 to still win every test despite being identical to the previous generation.
I hope and expect the new Corvette will give it a run for its' money while costing much less. Maybe one day the 911 won't be regarded as the best and Porsche will be forced to put their big engines in the Cayman, that would be a good thing.
Except the 992 GT3 is quite a bit changed. Double wishbone front suspension for a start…

No. There's also special cooling and some more.

I suspect this car will be one of the best if it's a Chris Goodwin set up. It was a nice move for Aston to poach him from McLaren.

So what happens to these type of cars in March 2022 when speed limiters and black boxes are fitted to new cars in the Euro zone and the UK, I suppose these will be dead in this part of the world shame really.
The 992 GT3 will destroy this AMV8 F1 Edition on track. And if one would rather daily drive or take long road trips, the GT3 Touring is a much better option.
Some prefer the design of the AM V8 more. I do.
That rear spoiler is so terrible looking. Looks like a Walmart or Pep-Boys special... AWFUL
I have always loved Aston Martin’s, but I just can’t get over the ugly front end of the Vantage. Yes it has been improved but it’s still ugly.

It absolutely pains me to say, as I totally adore Aston Martins........ but this is just not an attractive car. The droopy nose and awful looking 'ducks@rse' tail just don't look right at all (and that 'ducks@rse' boot looks even worse on the DBX!). Granted, I have yet to see one in the flesh, so may look completely different then, but every photo and video so far...... it just doesn't work. 😟
In the flesh it's very attractive. The ducks@rse looks pretty nice imo, but when you put a spoiler on it like on this car it completely ruins every line for me. It ruins the front 3/4 angle at 0:30 , and it doesn't even remotely match the lines of the rear end. Without the spoiler it looks very clean and beautiful imo, maybe not very special, but imo the older Vantage doesn't look much better even though I adore that car. I would say a 2007 DB9 looks better from the front, but imo the ducks@rse looks better than the dated look of the '07 DB9 rear end. Just don't put a spoiler on it.
