Nick Higgs The Singer 2024
Many people are late to the Joshua Colley train. In my opinion, Joshua Colley is one of the finest treble singers ever.
And now all grown seems to have developed some warm lows
My mind is boggled how Descendants got him and then he barely had any singing parts
Joshua Colley is mostly acting today (most recently in Dead Boy Detectives), but I can’t believe that he isn’t a major superstar because of that voice.
There's a video of Joshua Colley singing the Valjean part of "Confrontation" from Les Mis, and it's incredible. (It's from when he was about this same age. I think that one and this were both filmed when Joshua and Gaten were alternating as Gavroche.)

Joshua Colley’s version of ‘She Used to be Mine’ is fan favorite. This video is after Joshua’s voice stopped changing. I think he hit puberty at about 14
Joshua Colley was great in the Schuyler Sisters miscast some years ago. He was in broadway for some time for les miserables, Charlie brown, and did some other roles. His voice changed pretty late actually.

Joshua has so many videos where he KILLS it every damn time! I wish he was more widely known
Joshua Colley is about 22 now and if I'm good at math(I'm not) he would be about 11 or 12 in this video. He acts in movies/shows more now(Decendants: The Rise of Red as Young Captain Hook most recently.) You should also watch his cover of "Go The Distance" from Hercules. he was about 18 in it.
I just discovered Josh singing Valjean’s part of the Confrontation from Les Miz and he was awesome. There’s also videos of him singing Time of Your life with other boys who played Les in Newsies and footage of him as Gavroche. Everything I’ve seen him do I’ve been super impressed with. I really like Gates’s voice too but in this video I found his lyrics harder to understand and I don’t know this song very well.

More often than not, when I see that you've uploaded a video in my notifications list, I put your video at the top of my viewing queue. I love to hear people sing mostly because, I can't. It's also fun to watch you react to people singing not so much because of what you say and that's really important but, it's fun to watch your physical reactions, too. Since I can't sing, I use a musical instrument to do it for me. I've chosen the soprano saxophone as my voice. When I watch your videos, I listen very intently with the question in the back of my head, "Can I apply what Nick is saying to my saxophone playing?" There are some overlaps. Breath control and air pressure, the shape of your oral cavity and the use of your throat are very important in "voicing" notes in a way that fit what you're playing and sound good.
I would like to see you do a video on street buskers. This would mean that you would have to do a bit of digging. You could start on the UA-cam channel, "Dublin City Today." This channel is run by a man who focuses on buskers in the city of Dublin, Ireland. Most of them are in their teens or early twenties. Some of them are really great singers. Some of them are good singers but make up for their deficits in the energy that they bring to their performances. You might find this subject interesting.
Gaten has Cleidocranial dysplasia which is why he does not sound as clear, he still did not have many of his teeth at the time he sang this.
Have you heard about Danna Paola? Not exactly a child, but when she was 18 she played Elphaba!!!! She's mexican. There are some great captures if you search for "Danna Paola Wicked" or something like that. She was a child star, she has been singing since she was a tiny little thing, but mostly simpler pop stuff by that time so people were not expecting her magnificent work in Wicked (nowadays she also sings more demanding stuff as part of her pop career).

Have you heard of the "il Volo" trio? they are 3 guys who started singing together in 2009, a tenor with classical singing, a baritone with classical singing and a tenor with a more pop approach who harmonize wonderfully together, have a repertorie similar to that of Andrea Bocelli. Please put the subtitles in Italian

Yes! I love those two! I got to see Gaten in Sweeney Todd and he was absolutely fabulous.

This is very vaudeville. Such an interesting place for a kid to go musically. He is very good. That somewhat over enunciated singing style is typical of the genre.
