Going to be honest, Shopify will be one of the most watched team in north because of the BR audience. CEOS is a well loved (and one of the best) Brazilian players and a lot of people will open the stream to see him play. Not even close to superstar, but C tier is way too low
Sure, but I'm concerned about growing NA fans first and foremost. The reality is that LCK/LPL/LEC fans will never have LTA as number 1 in their hearts, so if we rely on that type of fandom then it's surface level at best. We need to grow native fandom in our own region so that will always be my basis of these.
I think this is an important perspective to bring to the LTA, and one of the things that is kind of poorly understood. A lot of the biggest player brands left the LCS in the last few years, and new ones have to be built. APA and Inspired got me to watch LCS for the first time this year (NA Viewer watching LEC for a few years), because the trashtalking was different, and kind of a shortcut, making brands as heels while they're gathering the trophies that really build the superstars.
Think some of the biggest streaming personalities + brands are in the B/C tier here because they're below your eyeline - srtty has a bigger twitch stream than close to any of the NA players in S/A tier, Quad was in Korean offseason content that had hundreds of thousands of views, etc. Really depends who and what you're targetting on your build - profile / gameplay ability, stream etc.
Mentioned this in another comment but should have clarified that when looking at this, it's with the intent of growing Superstars that can grow brands in NA. You can get hundreds of thousands of views in Korea but if that doesn't translate to a NA fandom and viewership doesn't go up, then you're a Korean Superstar not an NA Superstar. Other regions fans have their own leagues and to me, we can't follow the Riot view that an international viewers carries equal weight as an NA viewer. One is more likely to show up to events and expand the reach of esports here versus globally. On the Srtty point, fair about his stream as twitch is simply not an area that I place a ton of weight on given the very low ceiling that even the top NA players are at right now. Might not be fair to him but the lack of facecam is one that really supresses that further as recognition is a massive part of this. I'm still fine with where I put him here knowing that at minimum he'll probably be in B tier by year end or possibly higher, but he's got the assets to take off which is more than anyone else in that category has
Think its super hard to define growing brands if it's invisible metrics (does overall stream viewership go up) that make it difficult to work out individual contribution, though I understand where you're coming from
Will reiterate, being a great player alone does not make you a superstar. Marketability plays arguably a bigger part than gameplay and as much as I love River, he lacks that
Yall gonna be surprised of the fanbase when lyon gaming goes on stage.
Really hoping APA can keep up with the imports and isn't a one year wonder like Palafox was.
Same
As far as super stars go massu is your man like he’s got all the pieces we just gotta get people into leauge (C9 fan)
I can’t wait for LTA I’m bored

I look forward to these videos every week. Keep it up :)
If anything Blaber got me into watching LCS and APA got me through the slump. These are names that get you to watch and stick around
The longer we have them, the better off we are for it

Players have even more opportunities to create fans with the extra rivalries with the LTA South next year
I didn’t recognise APA in the thumbnail for a second and was confused why he wasn’t in it 😂
I think superstar for who is an interesting question. Quad made a big impression on LCK fans this year, same for Bwipo and LPL

@ big agree, just an observation from a FLY fan!

good list! aside from the Contractz mistake

@ my metric would be take sales and merchandising at in person events but given the scarcity of them no longer feels like a good metric
HYPED FOR MASSU
Contractz left C9, he wasn’t kicked.
Good catch, my mistake
River deserves more credit IMO he has been a top 3 jungler for a while now and shines through even on bad teams

Bvoy and Ceos in C. You just dont know brazil man…
@@galofimbres4212 No, I don’t, and neither does the majority of North America where I’m concerned about growing fandom
