    @olympicfreak678 "Zey don VANT meeeeh"- her response as to why, at that time, was not singing at the Met.
    Can you imagine her saying that? LOVE IT.

    I don't quite agree that Marian Anderson wasn't a contralto - because she did have very good high notes.

    Did she say contraltos can sing as high as sopranos and that they have a lot of flexibility like coloratura singers?!! Either I misunderstood or something's not right here!

      @@lesthermiranda1794 She must be an exception, because contraltos aren't at ease singing high notes. They like to sing the odd note up there from time to time, but hate staying there. It's usually a struggle for a contralto to develop the upper register.

      Martine Yeo That's true but exceptions do exist. Some Contraltos and Mezzos can bring out natural agility through training.
