    Hello doc! I had this question that always lingered on the back of my mind…
    Due the the fact that you studied MBBS, did you find it difficult to catch up with American medicine? Is there any catching up at all?
    I wondered because we go there with a completely different pattern of learning and subjects compared to the American counterparts, was it easy to blend in?
    Was there a difference in level, in terms of knowledge and tech that you as an individual from india experience there?
    I’m just overwhelmed about not being able to keep up with the American system, when the time comes…especially considering that we’d also be much younger compared to our peers.

    • @dr.rashimahajan
      @dr.rashimahajan  4 місяці тому

      Absolutely not. It’s at par with whatever they learn. Sure it’s a different system. So you’ll have to learn that. But otherwise, even they recognise our MBBS degree as their equivalent 💯

    I just had a couple of questions (a 1st year mbbs student here)
    Would it be beneficial to start preparing for step 1 from 1st year?
    If yes ,then are there any resources you would recommend for anatomy, physiology and biochem solely tailored to help with step 1 prep or should I just stick to the basics rn ?(bdc, Vasudevan and guyton)

    • @dr.rashimahajan

    How many times did you revise first aid ?
    And did you revise only highlited points which you highlighted during first reading, or you read each and every word during revision?
    Kindly guide

    Hi ma'am, can we apply for USMLE after mbbs? I want to but I have heard from some snrs that if u start after completing mbbs , there is very little chance that you will match

    Hello Di, just started 2nd Year and I want to go for USMLE Step 1........ should I start my knowledge consolidation from now only? And go for the question bank solving in 3rd Year. Also, we need to clear an IELTS/ OET first right? What was your approach there?

    • @dr.rashimahajan
      @dr.rashimahajan  4 місяці тому +1

      OET and TOEFL later on ! Start building knowledge now. And maybe light UWorld solving towards the end of second year. That’s the most convenient way I feel.

    Mam,what about someone graduate from BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BUMS?
    Can one go for PG in MD Emergency/ MS in Minor Surgery in the US or Germany?
    I did not get Allopathic(MBBS) medicine so I joined Ayush Medicine as u know surgery is limited to us ayush students. kindly do some research if there is any possibility of shifting to MD Emergency/MS in Minor Surgery.
    You're a blessing to thousands of us.🙏

    • @dr.rashimahajan
      @dr.rashimahajan  4 місяці тому

      Umm. I don’t think that switch is possible tbh, because for all the registrations that I have done they required me either registered in MBBS or completed MBBS specifically. So, you can either pursue MBBS or do medical school in the US and then apply to become a surgeon :)
