Feeling so defeated:(i studied hard all week, stayed up until 4 am. Woke up at 7 and worked until 4. Created a practice test with. Did it. Checked my answers. Went back and analyzed what i did wrong. All for Step 1:(i think that i was just so tired by the end of it all that i just wanted to be done. I'm hopeful that i can bounce back but right now I just feel like crying 😢 😭💔💔🤕😓😔💔💔😓

Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.

    • @DivyaSharma_KeepingitReal

The NRMP survey shows that most applicants have about 1-2 research experiences and 2-3 publications/presentations.
According to what I've learnt from speaking to my mentors, Research is important and good to have on your CV. Esp if you are an IMG.

Hi Divya! I love all your videos and I cannot believe that I only found you after I recently gave my step 2. I've binged watched all of them and firstly want to send a heartfelt congratulations. I am so happy for you and this para-social bond I have formed with you makes me feel like you're my sister. You've been an absolute lifesaver.
I scored really good marks in step 2 and now I am considering applying to my dream college. I have research and volunteer experience and also a pretty strong CV based on my MBBS and precious academic performances. My concern right now is that my visa processing for applying for observerships might not be approved as the dates are booked completely. Are tele-rotations any good?
Also, I am from Nepal and where I live is pretty crowded and the noise outside with the dogs barking and the children screaming is pretty distracting for any voice calls. It wouldn't be an ideal scenario for an interview, for sure. I would also like to ask if you have any suggestions on the mic that I could use to help with my situation? I love the voice quality of your mic and would like to know if it would be preferable in my situation. Thank you, Divya. I cannot thank you enough!! Love, from Nepal.

ICMR is a well know central funded project and it is one of the best research projects you can do as a medical student in India. So it definitely holds value. Once you have an opportunity to do a research project with international affiliations that would be great too.
