I think those are legit Vietnam era jungle boots- they only made them with that "Vibram" sole until about 1968, they almost always have a short stitch on the back heel above the sole, they almost always say the size and "RO Search" in a circle on the sole, and the piece of leather that the laces go in is one piece of leather down to the sole- replicas have a seam and two pieces of leather by the laces. Replicas never say "RO Search" on the sole, they were the original manufacturer and creator of the direct molded sole, which is supposed to stay attached to the boot well and was for quick manufacture as they were making 5000+ jungle boots per day back in the late 60's. They switched to the Panama sole (the taller, lugged sole you often see) around '68 and that sole was used for over 20 years. The real ones are quality boots with good leather and are getting harder to find
Those are Chocorans . Jump boots. They still had them in the late 90s . The made one with a hard toe. About 75.00 dollars at the time .They are actually pretty comfortable once they are worn in
Fact. HIRO looks good from EVERY angle for half the price. NAGs are overrated and only look like specific angles and scenes. The coveralls... overpriced and "eh". Good copy but the color is wrong, waist is wrong, spacing is wrong, and most importantly, they don't fit like Sears/Roebucks perma prest. And you can find those for $30 if you're patient.
imho HIROs are better/look good from ALL angles for half the price. NAGs only look like specific angles and scenes. The coveralls, overpriced. The color, waist, and spacing are wrong. Most importantly, they don't fit like Sears/Roebucks perma prest. And you can find those for $30 if you're patient. Just sayin...
That first low angle shot. Oh man.

That is gorgeous. So jealous and great channel!
Thank you so much!
Awesome video! The mask is amazing.
For sale?
What finish did you go for?
The weight of boots is due to anti spike metal plate in sole, spikes where a problem in Vietnam.

Guys I hate to say this but when the costume was being worn it just looked awful and did not capture the Myers look at all
The wood finish does not look good, it's awful and laughable.
