Love your take on this guys. I'm with you both. Im a fan of all the continuities. I would love to see an alternate follow to part 4, that goes with Jaime loyd going evil
Not sure if it was done intentionally at the time as an ¨easter egg¨ of sorts or... as an indicator of things to come... but the scene in the original Halloween-II (1982) when Dr. Loomis sees the gaelic word ¨Samhain¨ written in blood on the chalkboard was not only a very cool reference but also a very clever idea. At that time in 1981 / 1982... I think it is safe to assume that it was unlikely that most average audiences at the time were not privy to the actual meaning of the gaelic word & festival ¨Samhain¨ and how it actually does tie into the ancient history of the modern holiday of Halloween. Furthermore... the scene was also well done in the fact that Dr. Loomis does indeed address what ¨Samhain¨ is with a quick explanation... and... that´s it. Loomis gives just enough information to plant the seeds of what is this mystery that connects Samhain to Michael Myers (with Myers himself writing the very name of ¨Samhain¨ literally in blood almost as if the Lord of the Dead is speaking thru Michael)... but... is careful not to spoil it with too much in the way too many details. (Fast-fwd to 1995 in ¨Halloween 6¨... and the scene where the eccentric Ms. Blankenship gives her account of Samhain as the bonfires cut thru the scene). If there are any more remakes or reboots to come from the Halloween franchise after ¨Halloween Ends.... I think they would really do the audiences and fans a huge favor of really tying in the samhain / celtic generational-curse theme back into the story... thus, giving a very authentic (as well as almost real) explanation as to how Michael Myers is both ¨evil incarnate¨ and how he became the Bogeyman.
The ending of the theatrical cut fixed him in that he has some autonomy. I really enjoyed part 6. Yes, it's flawed but it's entertaining. I really wish they stuck to the script and made it as dark as Farrands had intended. But I can agree with any fan in that it's a mistake to demystify Michael but then blame also falls on part 2. And part 2 is the second best Halloween movie imo.
"The Thorn Trilogy" reminds me so much of the Star Wars "Sequel Trilogy." Halloween 4 was back to formula (although a much less formulaic film than The Force Awakens, thanks Jar Jar Abrams) Halloween 5 screwed everything up (The Last Jedi) and Halloween 6 (The Rise of Skywalker, which is also way worse than Halloween 6) tries so hard to pick up the pieces but it's just too late. The Thorn Cult was a much better idea than Emperor Palpatine coming back for example. Makes for an interesting "what if?" especially when you take in the Producer's cut and other possible cuts of the film. I always considered making a video comparing the two trilogies
I can get on board with the Thorn curse Idea. What I can't get behind is Michael having a Handler. Michael is an INTJ personality type, and director or producer worth their salt would look into this and KNOW an INTJ having a handler at all is Ludacris, let alone having a plot around Michael having a handler. Keep the curse idea ditch the Handler idea from H6!
Halloween and Alien are my favorite franchises. I will do anything to protect them. I wish Hollywood had more respect for these franchises. Michael Myers is the best slasher. Sorry Freddy Krueger fans and Jason Voorhees fans. I like Freddie and Jason both. Halloween 🎃. Is Michael Myers time. I like the Thorne timeline.

Absolute shame the Fan films are being removed. Hope things are sorted out.
