      @@opengraves1122 thanks man I really appreciate it. I do have to cover shipping of course which makes sense but it’s nice that he’ll swap it out for me definitely good to do business with.
      And they are a little expensive but when you consider that if you wanted to get the real deal Tradewear Coveralls exactly like the ones in the 1978 film you’re looking at anywhere from probably $700-$1000
      so that’s huge money of course. But honestly if you consider superior 78s they are definitely under 300 bucks shipped and they are made to look identical to them they look totally real deal you can’t really even tell them apart without looking at the tags or really knowing them inside and out.
      So if you were to compare them against the tradewears you’re only paying about 25% to 35% of what you pay for a pair of tradewears that look basically exactly the same.
      And really the tots Coveralls are going to run to the better part of 100 bucks anyway. So really it’s like buying 2 1/2 pairs of tots to get something that looks like movie quality and accuracy. So yes expensive sort of but relatively they are actually a really solid deal.

    I heard that TLW said it was a Smokey Green color.

    • @MorbidMattski
      @MorbidMattski 2 дні тому

      @@uknowman4561 yes I’ve heard that before as well and I believe Nick Castle said they were sort of a greyish colour so I think it just depends a little bit on memory and lighting, etc.
      Plus, of course it was over 45 years ago and at the time they were making it they never thought it was going to be anything that it became so I’m sure they weren’t paying super close attention to all the little details for the questions they would be subjected to so many years later all the time.
      Basically, I just went with the people that have done research on it for ages and have looked up the various colours that were offered for those particular Tradewears that were used in the film. They figured the colour had to be Tex green because of how easily it was to get the various looks on film between charcoal, navy blue, gray, and green. It was one of the only colours that fit the bill to look sort of like that apparently. I know it’s subjective. I just kind of went with the majority on michaelmyers.net and the research that’s been laid out over all this time. if you haven’t watched the update of the ones that fit me a little better and were a little bit darker, there’s a link in the description of this video for that video. I know it doesn’t look like it and I believe the original was shot with some blue filters or blue lighting or something like that. But as I mentioned in my other reply it’s mostly from all the research on Michael Myers dot net where most of concluded that the colour was technically a colour called tex green that could certainly achieve all of those looks depending on lighting and filters. But again I don’t explain it well enough I recommend checking it out over there and going through all of the research and what not over the last 25 years or so that they have documented etc. before I knew about that site I assumed they were a shade of navy blue also.

      Well, it depends what you’re looking for. If you have the money, I would talk to Connor with Creepy Customs every time because he can get you a pair that look pretty much perfect for pretty much any of the Halloween movies.
      That being said, his work is not cheap and if you’d like to save money and still get an authentic looking pair of coveralls that will work for any of the Blumhouse Michael Myers cosplays, then I say just grab a version 2 from Legion and weather them yourself to save. Otherwise, if you have some money to spend, Connor will hook you up beautifully.

    Is $300 worth it just for a coverall? I think the price is excessive, I mean you can find some $40 coveralls on amazon that look pretty much the same

    • @MorbidMattski
      @MorbidMattski Рік тому +1

      I guess it all depends on what you feel is pretty much the same if you’re going for accuracy. Personally Amazon coveralls and the like are not close enough for me imho, but to each their own. Bottom line it comes down to how accurate you want and how much you’re willing to spend I guess, nothing wrong with getting a pair of coveralls that don’t match the film, but look close enough for the person wearing them to be comfortable with the look.
      Connor’s Coveralls are not just an old pair of Sears coveralls he’s charging $300 for. He completely alters and re-sews them so that the pockets and collar match the film and then he weathers them to match as well. Again there’s nothing wrong with buying cheaper coveralls that will satisfy the wearer, it really comes down to how accurate a person wants to look and their own budget. If I really wanted perfectly accurate I would’ve had to spend more like $1000 on an authentic pair of tradewares from the mid 70s. So again it’s preference and budget because there are different levels to accuracy, to each their own. 👍

      @TheLrmv Рік тому +1

      @@MorbidMattski yea I see and agree with you, definitely this is the best coverall someone can expect for professional cosplay or photo shoots, however if you're looking for a custome just for the halloween night, cheaper coveralls are not a bad option

    • @RobertoDuranSamaniego
      @RobertoDuranSamaniego Рік тому

      the price isn’t excessive at all. The $40 coveralls from Party City aren’t going to have the same premium fabric quality, stitching, and detailing as these coveralls from Creepy Customs. It’s like saying “Why buy $150 Jordan’s when you can buy some And 1’s from Walmart for $40.” There’s definitely a difference there and it depends on the individual who appreciates that difference whether or not they find that value worth spending the money on. However, the difference certainly is there.

      @MorbidMattski Рік тому

      I totally understand where you were coming from man I used to think the exact same thing.
      What I didn’t realize is over the years there are A lot of factors that can make the coveralls look different depending on what version of the movie we are watching (some versions have a filter apparently that I wasn’t aware of) anyway in different scenes the coveralls can look very different colours as well as things as simple as your TV settings.
      I totally get what you’re saying though because for decades I thought they were a navy blue shade. The thing is the hard-core fanatics over at Michael Myers dot net have been desperately trying to figure out what the actual color was for these particular Sears tradewares from the mid 70s that were used. They were only available in certain colours and with all of their research they narrowed it down to a colour called tex green. If you look it up on that website you will see a lot more information than I can give but it is a shade that has looked grey, navy blue, greenish and charcoal black depending on the shot and the scene at the lighting etc.
      But I get what you’re saying it’s just that it’s not a matter of looking at the day scenes because again the reference can change depending on what version you’re watching and your TV colour settings plus a lot of people have slight colour blindness as well so not everyone is always on the same page.
      What they did on the website over all these years was track down the exact make and model of these coveralls track down old Sears catalogue books from the 70s and different colour codes. Anyway long story short these people who were really freaks about trying to figure it out have determined that the colour must’ve been tax green according to their information. No I’m not saying that’s 100% true but what I am saying is I don’t know of any group that has dived into the subject any harder over the last 25+ years that the website has been around for. So personally I’m going with their judgement because of all the time and effort and investigation that went into it.
      If you haven’t been on that site before check it out, there is a wealth of great information there.
      But I totally understand where you were coming from for a long time I thought they were a charcoal black colour from the schoolyard scene but I also have different versions of the movie where it looks a different shade because of filter use or something. I remember reading about the Divimax 25th Anniversary dvd having different filters used it’s a copy that I’ve owned for a very long time and I remember being surprised hearing about that. Then there’s also the countless shots that people have taken and posted and you have to remember if they’re taking a picture of their TV or capturing it on their phone again the colour settings aren’t necessarily exact again so it’s a tough thing to figure out. But seriously I never even thought of all that stuff back in the day I just thought they looked a blue colour as well and it was a simple as that. But I guess it’s a very complex thing to figure. Anyway again I’m not saying it’s 100% correct but these people have done a whole ton of research. You should check it out because my explanation is kind of butchering it it’s much more involved lol
      thanks for watching man I really appreciate it by the way lol
      It’s still the greatest horror movie ever made in my humble opinion.
