Right on! I should really set up a breeding tank for mine. I've got some just beluga sized females lol
Yes actually - tea is just tannin water. That's exactly where the flavor and color comes from. Tannins in the plant matter
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I am a subscriber to yours! I really appreciated this video and your ingenuity building the spawning rig. i look forward to seeing an update assuming you do one :)
I want to try breeding my green neon tetras but I don't have soft water. My tap water is 7ph. I have a bunch of catappa leaves. Can I boil them to make tannin extract and use that to fill my tank? any tips and help are appreciated.
I love your videos 💚
I vote for seeing the reproduction of mosquito rasboras.
Greetings from Mexico 🙌✨
Thanks for the awesome video and inspiration. Have you tried breeding Chili Rasbora before?
Nope, I have them growing out now :)
What are the water temperature and water parameters?
Soft water, 0 GH/KH, ~6 pH, temp is at 78-80F
congo tetras would be amazing, maybe branch out from tetras and do some anabantoids?
Nice video, how many fry did you end up with? I hope to breed my green neon tetras soon 😊
do congo tetras please
Mr helpful man! Wanna try do a full step by step rotifer acquisition, culture, feeding video?
How long should the fry be in the spawning tank before moving to a grow out tank with "normal" tank water?
I don’t recommend moving them until they are a few months old and able to join the adults. Make sure they are acclimated slowly
Since they were in there a week, did you do any water changes in the breeding tank?
No, but if you have a larger breeding group of fish than me then you should clean the tank or add a filter for oxygenation.
SUBSCRIBED!!
hey, could u give us an update on your green jade colony?
They don’t need oxygen?
Can you please do a video about breeding coelacanths? Sarcopterygians are sadly under-represented in the aquarium hobby.
I don't think he owns them sadly. They require large tanks.
You need to invest in an RO unit it makes producing clean soft water so easy.
that's on the shopping list :)
Chocolate Gourami
Iced tea is 100% tannin water hahaha
That collecting water isn’t very scientific…… so I’m moving on to different video
