You have the exact same drum set that I've been searching for for years. When I was five my drums were sold due to unfortunate situations and I've been looking for that set ever since. Absolutely beautiful
Ah no way! Sorry to hear that your kit was sold. These are 1967 Ludwig super classics in black diamond pearl. This kit was my Dad's drum set so I grew up playing it. It was the kit that learned to play on!
The condenser mic brings out the sustain so well. I'd distort it and reduce the fundamental of the snare so the sustain itself would be crunchy as hell. Very nice
Yea! I have another 451 that I use on the Hi-hat all the time. It's very detailed, but smooth at the same time.. It doesn't work for everything but most of time it's great.
Sm-57s are just the worst for a snare drum. I always use a condenser because of the bright articulate details it captures. If you want to add some good low mids, get it from your overheads. I’ll place one overhead over the center of the kit and then two directly on each side. If your phase is right, you will love it.
Tell me you can't really play without telling me you can't really play.. I need headphones and Sfx amd computers to tone my sound out..LOLOLOLOLOL NO TY Au Natural

It's better to plugin the pencil mics then use them as drum sticks👍
I like it, it makes it sound more vibrant, pops out more

Yea exactly! It can sound awesome when it's distorted. It adds a nice crunch and texture to the snare tone.
Those 451 Es are butter… one of the best pencil condensers ever made.

Sticking one underneath is great for hearing ghost notes and accents 🤙
Absolutely. Pretty important especially for capturing ghost notes.
I love the pop it gets put of the snare
Can you share 3d model or stl file for this holder please? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It's actually made by Wilkinson Audio (SM57 to SDC clip)
No one can feel that difference in case of song listening! 👹
I use a shure 5435 Unidyne three combine with a josephsons E 22S it is absolutely ridiculous
Did you have to flip the phase on one of them?
I don't believe so. I usually try to line up the mics so that the phase will be the same.
Hey Kyle. Thx for your fantastic videos. Where do you get this double mic holder from? Thx from Austria. Chris
Hey, thank you! The double snare mic holder is made by Wilkison Audio. Check it out! wilkinsonaudio.com/products/sm57-clip
@@kylekrysadrums thx man. Just bought it:)
@@sztbeat Nice!
So do you automatically become a drummer when you have a certain number of microphones?
what? lol
Use the condenser microphone.
Condensor?
Yep, AKG 451
@@kylekrysadrums was a joke its called condensEr
Barely a difference

I would keep the magnetic fields away from on another with better spacing.
I just want a pingy snare. Pingpingping
Suena mejor sin el condensador...

Not worth the time when a $89 sm57 wins mic shootouts for snare all day long
Can't beat a 57. It's a classic. Plus it doesn't hurt as much when it gets accidentally hit with a drum stick.
Well in my book it DOESN'T!!
@@kawmic7 that’s cool man use the tools that give you the best result:)
No difference
No
Where can i find that mic clip ?
