LETS GET EMILY ON LAST MEALS! idk why I never thought of this. But she mentioned eating the silica pack and made think otlf it. These two on the last meals set would be hilarious.
You were both right. Both Milla Jovovich and Leelee Sobieski have played Joan of Arc, both in films that came out in 1999, sort of a reflection of Deep Impact vs Armageddon. Jovovich was in The Messenger, while the made-for-TV movie with Sobieski was called simply 'Joan of Arc.'
My main memory of the Milla Jovovich one is being traumatised by the scene at the start where it shows what happened to her older sister (which I’m pretty sure is not something that any of the lore and legends surrounding Joan of Arc suggest happened).
I loved Josh finding the silica gel packet at 14:23 and saying "We're so fine, guys, we are so fine" while another silica gel packet floated to the surface of the pot.
one thing about me is if there's a video with Emily in it, I won't pay attention to a single other thing that's happening. Case and point: I was equally surprised by the tacos bc I spent Josh's whole spiel watching Emily pretending the peppers were talons
So, the shrimp cocktail? I've been told by a legit astronaut who had been on three missions (Marc Garneau) that is was the most popular meal on all the flights. The reason is the cocktail sauce, because in space you get hella congested, and the spiciness of the sauce opened your sinuses
There's something so insane about Josh not believing in aliens to me. He seems like the exact type of guy who would believe that somewhere in the vast space there's some extraterrestrial life.v
Not believing in aliens goes against all reason, in my opinion. With an universe so unimaginable big, why would we be the only thing alive? The reason we haven't had first contact with anyone is because its SOOOOO damn far between stuff in space.
The sheer amount of luck in a very specific order allowed life to exist on this planet. The chances of it happening again are extremely low. Unless the universe is truly infinite.
I think the caveat is “have visited earth”. It’s probable that aliens are out there. It’s improbable they will be here, and if our understanding of physics is more correct than not; it’s nearly impossible for us to have visitors. Our very first broadcast hasn’t even reached halfway to the next solar system. We’ll have to broadcast radio or other stellar possible signals for at least another 500 years before a planet with the potential for life will have any clue we’re here (those signals travel at light speed). There’s also no way to blip through space, any visitors would be on a multigenerational ship, not some speedy little tictac.
Seriouslyyy I was so surprised. Any aliens at all? Not the little green men in ufos abducting people in cornfields, but other life in the universe? I would like to hear more of his thoughts on this.
Just wanna say THANK YOU guys for uploading this masterpiece, times are going really rough and seeing this pop up in my recs really made me smile. Awesome episode.
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” - Arthur C. Clarke Time travel though... because of how time travel would work, if it ever existed, then it will always exist, and since it doesn't exist, it cannot exist ever.
Not what the math nor our own experimentation says but go off. We've seen it happen on the subatomic level. Traveling back into the past of our universe would violate causality and the laws of thermodynamics. Traveling back into the past and arriving in a different universe does not. There's also as someone else mentioned. Time travel into the past may work, but only to the point the first device capable of it was created. Since it hasn't been made yet, nobody would be able to come back to this time or earlier.
What if time traveler's are successful, but they didn't calculate the fact that when they went back in time the Earth is in a totally different place in space. So they end up teleporting into the void of space?
@@d4rk0v3 All that is based on current scienctific knowledge. Which will be outdated as soon as we find and proof new evidence. There were 2 Joan of Arc movies in 1999, one for theaters and one for TV. The theater one titled "The Messenger The Story of Joan of Arc" was with Mila Jovovich and the TV version, just called "Joan of Arc" was starring Leelee Sobieski.
I rewatched the other NASA episode, Emily (in character) talked about her favorite sound being cows being slaughtered. I don't think you need to worry about portraying her in a too good light.
Amazing. Too many good moments to list them all. They'll live forever in my heart. This is one I will be rewatching. And me I rewatch things like a mfer.
Fun fact: Silica gel pockets are not toxic. They're a choking hazard which is why they're labeled "Do not eat", but if you do eat one you will be totally fine if you don't choke on it.
No reindeer jerky? "Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang was not allowed to bring reindeer jerky with him on board a shuttle mission as it was "weird" for the Americans so soon before Christmas." - Wikipedia
I have been to the museum and seen the corned beef sandwich. Turns out that sandwich was the whole reason my friend wanted to take a road trip that day. Haha neat little museum. They have an old landing pod on display, too!
I want an episode where Nicole is trying to tell Emily how to cook something from another room via phone or something and has to rely on Emily's communication of what's going on only. Ala: Remote Control Chef from Worst Cooks or the Try Guys' Phoning It In.
There is a huge sodium nitrite (nitrate?) court case in Ontario. A man was going into FB groups and counseling at risk people on how to use it for harm. It came way too close for my family. Love Emily!
Chaos! Havoc! Frenzy! Oh poor Emily 👽TicTac👽 dealing with Josh randomly yelling commands and making you eat questionable things... (No silica packets for me,please.)
fan fact! eating silica gel packets isn't (usually) fatal. It can cause choking and nausea though, which is why manufacturers say not to eat it. If you do accidentally eat it, its better to drink water to bring it down into the stomach than throw it up (see the line before: choking) and your body should pass it just fine.
Part of me is curious is the Joan of Arc thing is a bit since the one with Leelee and the one with Milla were both released at the same time like Deep Impact and Armadeggon was. If not tho, we do know Josh was thinking of the TV Movie cause he did say "who played JoA in the TV movie."
Emily Fleming is such an awesome member of the GMM crew. Like... seriously... she's a hilarious person. I miss seeing her improv with Jordan Morris on the network, those were some great moments. Josh and Emily have equally great improv times though. So, I'm not complaining. Great episode. I love these Historic Meals episodes.
Did anyone else get the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference that Josh did?? "Tell me I'm good, tell me I'm good." He's just Sweet Dee in a muscle suit 🤣
I love when Emily is joining josh to cook 🤣 that's when you know the video is going to be absolutely amazing! I want her to be my best friend 🤣 shes so funny
OMG I'm so glad to have you both back together, I truly have 3 Tamagochis now. Thank you so much for entertaining us(ME)!!!!!!! Josh and Emily, you need to stay on this show, you're so fun together.
I love the whole Mythical Kitchen cast, but no one can match and sometimes surpass Josh's energy like Emily.
Emily is an agent of chaos, unpredictable in nature, her power only exceeded by her mystery.
Absolute facts 😂😂
She's always a treat when they have her appear in the various Mythical platforms. The mind of Mythical Emily must be a magical place.
@@MurasadramonEmily is the Continuum Transfunctioner.
This has to be Emily's best appearance ever... like ever ever,

Make this the top comment
DO IT! WE NEED MORE EMILY!
I want this too! She would definitely be awesome
this is SUCH a good idea
I loved her joke about Last Meals being the show that nobody watches. She kinda snuck it in there.
Came here to say the same thing
came here to say thiiiiiis!! i loved the leelee sobieski one when i was a kid, i never knew there was a mila one so i was like screaming at the TV 😆
My main memory of the Milla Jovovich one is being traumatised by the scene at the start where it shows what happened to her older sister (which I’m pretty sure is not something that any of the lore and legends surrounding Joan of Arc suggest happened).
Like others, came to say this, including the reflection of Deep Impact vs Armageddon.
Came here to say it too
I loved Josh finding the silica gel packet at 14:23 and saying "We're so fine, guys, we are so fine" while another silica gel packet floated to the surface of the pot.
I laughed so hard. Thank you so much for this time stamp
I didn’t notice, that’s hilarious 😂😂
Went from "Daddy, tell me im a good girl" to "Ill eat your bones" in the span of an episode. Never change
not even the span of an episode, the span of like 5 minutes
Seeing Emilys GENUINE horror when Josh said he'd kill E.T with a hammer 😂😅
Emily deserves awards. She commits 1000% to everything.
I could not have summed up my own thoughts about Emily more succinctly, that you just did. I completely agree.
Im not really, part of the time she was out of character. Just sayin.
When Emily said "human" astronaut I fully thought she was gonna come out as Laika
Same.
We named our dog laika 😂
Me too
My first thought as well
Me too!
Never would I imagine an "Old Greg" reference in the year 2024, this is why Emily is the best.
Lmao yessss I came here to say the same 😅😂 such a throw back 🤭
of course emily loves mighty boosh 😂
Easy now, fuzzy little man peach
I literally spit out the Bailey's I was drinking from a shoe...!
I was already laughing throughout, but cackled at that part!
Trying for Gamora but ending up as Old Gregg is so relatable
He’s not your regular guy… don’t be shy.
"Im more of a deep impact girl" "i bet you are" 😆 🤣. Josh letting imtrusive thoughts win again but, we love him for it.
The deep impact joke/reaction was chef's kiss 10/10 lmao
one thing about me is if there's a video with Emily in it, I won't pay attention to a single other thing that's happening. Case and point: I was equally surprised by the tacos bc I spent Josh's whole spiel watching Emily pretending the peppers were talons
We need a yearly calendar of Emily in all the outfits she uses

I really love all the crew but josh and emily are my favorite on camera together. The absolute chaos is fantastic.

YAY MORE DERANGED EMILY. Legit the funniest series in Mythical Entertainment
In a strange twist of fate, Josh seems really down to earth this episode. Emily on the other hand is just out of this world!
Pun intended!!
We need emily on last meals! They always make her into a sketch but i think it would be cool to get to know her on a deeper level
Just wanna say THANK YOU guys for uploading this masterpiece, times are going really rough and seeing this pop up in my recs really made me smile. Awesome episode.
I dunno if I'd say that Emily looks like Old Gregg, but she definitely has an uncanny resemblance to Noel Fielding in this makeup.
She certainly has the funk.
She reminded me of the villain from that pg13 version of the Power Rangers
It's those contoured cheekbones. Noel Fielding did always have such a long face.
I discovered this channel a week ago and I've been bingeing it since, Josh and Emily is my FAVORITE combo! Yay!
So trevor is on smosh pit/games a lot, josh makes a lot of appearances. Dear lord emily would kill in a try not to laugh
This is a NEED
YES!!
Emily is magic. Pure magic.
Love Emily. Every episode she appears on is instantly great

Emily didn't even wait until the intro was over before being utterly chaotic. Love it.

I learned something today. I fact checked that, as one does. Always thought they were toxic.
Seinfeld lied
Even if it was toxic it would still be edible at least once in your life 😉😆
Who the heck would eat silica gel packets anyway even though it says do not eat
I love how the editors cut to Emily cooking while Josh rants about some food facts that no one cares about :p

The Emily videos are by far the best on an always fantastic channel
Emily: "Daddy tell me I'm a good girl."
I LOVE Emily so much!! 🤣🤣
I would too 😂
Nah I stopped watching the second she said that

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does that every time I hear "phenomena"
Love the new cookbook! But why isn't Emily in it anywhere when she's in so many of the pictures?
Josh and Emily are the most chaotic duo in mythical and i love seeing them both in videos :D
“I look like ole Greg” absolutely sent me. Ever drank baileys from a shoe?
♥♥♥♥♥♥
I loved the pepper claws bit Emily. Don't worry. ❤

Leelee was Joan of Arc, in a made for tv movie. Mila played her on the big screen later.
Same year, 1999
As a Ukrainian viewer of many years, I appreciate you didn't include the war criminal. Thank you.

Leelee did play Joan of Arc in 1999 also. I guess she had a habit of starring in the other version of movies that came out the same year lol
Love the videos with Emily. Always a good watch.

Emily is the epitome of chaos and I love her for that.
