Plus the hook goes up to 65 amps and the smart hook I think the max is 18amps
I had one a wast of money so I went with the power probe the hook
Your fake power probe is much nicer than my fake power probe! That looks exactly like the crappy case that my stupid expensive radar detective came in. On the plus side, I haven't gotten a ticket in two years!
radar detector you say....hmmmm...youtube video on that one please!
Looks interesting Mark! Electrical diagnostics is not my strong point lol luckily I haven’t had anything major thrown at me yet 🙈🤣
I'll come and put a flasher module in your fuel pump wiring. It'll take you forever to figure it out. It'll be a good learning experience for you lol
@@BruceLyeg … and you wonder why I don’t buy the house next door to you?!! 🤣🤣🤣
It is a really interesting tool, I think the price of these sort of tools nowadays its a fair price for what it does and it really does compliment a multimeter and OBDII reader...if you find yourself having to undertake those sort of tests that is. If you don't then its pretty expensive for what it is. However, other than the MR2 which hasn't given me any electrical issues... my dailies on the other hand tend to be a bit of an old cronk of a car, I once was chasing sensor faults (ABS) on the Jeep I had for ages and ended up wasting time troubleshooting when this would have told me in a couple of minutes it was the sensor itself. Do you still have the BMW?
Hah yeah I've already got one of those...it's the EML on my Focus
😂😂😂
Do you think that the power probe maestro is better than this tool? If the price was the same.
I'm afraid I don't have any direct experience of the power probe so am unable to compare
@Dad Diaries just curious because I work for a freightliner dealership and power probe even partnered with snapon to create another version of the power probe. If they have no competition in manufacturing they really have no reason to be better which is concerning to me as a consumer.
You raise an interesting question there. I understand from some users that snap on quality isn't what it was and some of these Chinese tools seem to get tweaked with improvements all the time. I think if in some areas toughing casing materials were used they could withstand the professional environment a little better, not that I'm saying the one I've tested won't survive being dropped but when you put that sort of money into a tool you want to be sure it will survive. I wonder if you swapped out the average mechanics tool chest of snap on or Mac tools with what are deemed to be 'budget' equivalent these days if there would be much difference? Some thing there would clearly be no doubt, but things like screwdrivers, ratchets, sockets and some test equipment.... I'm not so sure 🤔
Maestro can't test relay ..
@DadDiaries hello you haven't posted in a long long while if you still alive and breathing want to ask about a video you did some yrs back that has my interest
I could care less about the box, its going in the trash anyway. I care about the product and how it works.
