oh, in my country 125cc is maximum for 16 years old (like me) while at 18 years old you can drive 250cc and at 21+ there is no restriction. The acceleration and speed is pretty much the same on all 4 stroke 125cc bikes, as far as i know (unless laws are different in your country) you can change to any exhaust as long as it has db-eater, but the difference is like only 5km/h lol. The exhaust only makes a notice-able change in the speed on bigger bikes like 1000cc
At Portugal, Spain, and I believe that in a couple ohter countries in europe Is at age 16. With a cheap license you can drive 50cc motorbikes and with driving license that's more expensive you can drive till 125cc, all of this at age 16. Then I believe that at age 18 there are no restrictions.
Hi mate a good bike indeed. Got a cbr125r and although its faster and slightly better accel wise, round the twisties (and on windy days) I found the YZF more stable.Look forward to more videos mate.
Acceleration is pretty much the same on all 4 stroke motorbikes.. if you want fast acceleration you should think about a 2 stroke (like aprilia RS) but 2 strokes consume the fuel 100x times faster and also you must mix the fuels and oil, you can't just go to the fueling station and put normal fuel in your 2 stroke motorbike
Hmm I see. I checked the website from Portugal that mentions the info and I noticed that it is very similar here with there in Sweden, except, you cannot drive anything at age 15
Hey dude I'm seriously thinking about buying this bike, and I just want to know, what do u think about the driving position? Is it so bad for your wrists and back as people keep telling me? And is it good to be short or tall? Cuz im 182cm atm.. My friends keep telling me "No, dont buy Yzf-r, you're just gonna kill your back and wrists after 30 minutes of driving!!", but that damn thing looks so awesome! So I hope u will respond to this comment please! :)
Hey, Nice bike you got there. How much HP is that 125cc engine? What's the fuel consumption (in KM) and topspeed? Sounds just like my Yamaha Tzr 2 years ago xD
i myself allways wanted to go for my license , but never took time for it ..maybe this year , who will know :) But if you can , why stick with the small bike..just go for it ;-)
Knallfin sykkel :) Har hatt lyst på en YZF ei god stund, har en Honda Shadow no for tida :D Klara snart ikkje å vente lenger til våren! Må gjerne legge ut meir videoa av YZF'en ;)
I'm thinking to get my first two wheels this spring. Well it's not the first spring I'm planning to do so, but whatever, this time I'm sure on my decision moraly and more sure financialy. The bike I'm thinking is now suzkuki bandit 600 n. Something around year 1995-1999. Used one of course... But for some reason I really got into 125. Couple of reasons seems fun and manouvrable learning bike with which I could push the limits without much hesitation once I get used to it. Or should I get bandit?
I don't see how that could be a problem.. I'm not as tall as that, but two of my friends, BirkBB and ConverteDV1, is taller then 1.77 i think and they ride alot on their YZF's! Check out their videos..
How can you even ask yourself ;-) You have to go for the real thing for sure ! And step on a small one now and then, just to enjoy the fine shopping-ride ;-)
i am a owner of a tzr50, and alot of parts look similar to it. i think this is just a faster moped than the tzr50 which hits around 80/90km/h on stock.
125cc er livet! Alltid på "the edge" av hva motorsykkelen klarer på lovelige veier. Det å ha 600cc mellom bena blir litt kjedelig på veien. Gøy på bane, men hvor ofte er man der?
ye but its not that "sexy" :p I was thinking to buy a Yamaha YZF 125 but that one is one of the slowest ones? I actually don't care about topspeed but more of the acceleration so I can start fast
In my country there's a Yamaha Crypton X 125, I bet this bike you drive has some differences from it, even though they are they same CC right? For example the horse power?
ok thanks! :d And (my last question) In my country when driving a 125cc there is a restriction of kw.. Maximum allowed is a bike with 25 kw or something but how do I know it is 25 and when does the kw change? will it change with a different exhaust?
With that height you really wont be too big. I am 182cm and I ride even a smaller bike. You may not reach the ground though(you should reach it, unless your legs a really short :D).
Ye but the 2 stroke sport models go 45 (legal) wich isn't much and in my country you're fucked when they see you tuned it up.. But aren't there any legal exhaust or things you can change about a 4 stroke what makes it a little faster?
I've sent you a link re: not the fastest bike.... It's all about approach and they do get round corners ok :) Please share link, I hope this has opened your eyes to what it really is sure it might not get off the line quick but it will get round corners fast....
Sorry i don't want to sound dumb but, i have this question because my dad told me that he once couldn't ride a bike because he was too tall. I'm turning 16 next 21s January (2013) and taking A1 driving license (ITALY) and i'm gonna buy a bike like this yamaha (125), i'm currently 1.77 meters, how tall are you and do u still ride bikes like this one? I'd really apreciate if you could answer
Well.. NO I have one myself i've had it to 125/kmh, and i can probably go to 130. So a custom modded moped might barely beat this, but well, then it's not longer a moped...
if thats stock exhaust it actually sounds good
It is stock :)

Thanks for uploading ! 10/10 for not messing with this vid's original take ! ;-)

It's also great, but it uses some more fuel and I heard it has some technical problems sometimes

Pretty sound from YAMAHA
sure you can enjoy riding it! It's really a beautiful bike! I wonder if you plan to buy a R6 later? (or a R1)
Buy it! I have ridden his bike several times and it is just fine..
Why do everybody ask questions about how tall you have to be to ride it? I rode this actual bike when I was 1.60 or less. No problems what so ever!
My favorite bike , i hope i will have it one day , for now i love riding my old aprilia af1 :)
Excellent pilotage de sa moto
Bravo
Thank you very much, sorry if i sounded dumb but i'm still an inexperienced beginner

Yes, no problem at all.
Great dude (: I'm holding enough money to buy it too (: This was my dream after learning how play the guitar and getting one

Cagiva mito is the fastest 125cc bike in the world, it's an italian motorbike, it has 7 speeds and the Top Speed is 180 Km/h
Dude we all know A 125 isn't supposed to be super fast! But for younger people it's the best of the best!!!!!
Thats right.
With the price for a nice original Gibson Les Paul guitar from the 1950s, you can buy a few motorbikes. ;)
i'm 19 and i love this byke ;)
now you are 25.. time goes fast man
Yeah with a 2stroke you trade off fuel for speed, it still has another 25mph onto the topspeed.
How can you even ask yourself ;-)
You have to go for the real thing for sure ! And step on a small one now and then, just to enjoy the fine shopping-ride ;-)
It says in the description that everything is stock.
Thumps Up !
Thought i am gonna broke my engine on my r125 but as i can see its normal to gear up at 9-10k
you said yzf is not the fastest bike but my guess is that it is one of the fastest in the 125 class
Is the guy driving in front of you like your brother or something? :D Because I noticed your license plates are very similar :D
"Not the fastest bike", but a nice bike nonetheless... :)
i am a owner of a tzr50, and alot of parts look similar to it. i think this is just a faster moped than the tzr50 which hits around 80/90km/h on stock.

not only for younger, but everyone should start riding sportbikes on smaller engines, not depending on their age:)
love the white yzf in front of you
Det var i Fredrikstad !
@NiPLucky 600cc of course !
Cuánto te viene dando esa moto de serie Llaneando.Velocidad punta
ok thanks! :d And (my last question) In my country when driving a 125cc there is a restriction of kw.. Maximum allowed is a bike with 25 kw or something but how do I know it is 25 and when does the kw change? will it change with a different exhaust?
@ILoxh lol, read the title! Yamaha YZF R125.
With that height you really wont be too big. I am 182cm and I ride even a smaller bike. You may not reach the ground though(you should reach it, unless your legs a really short :D).
Nice bike, you still riding? :O)
ahh right ! im really happy now haha :D cant wait to get my 250 ninja (or the yzf 125)
I have a R125 and it seems super fast in this clip ahah
seems like its a lot of run to ride !
Well in sweden its 15/50cc ,16/125cc 18/250 then two years of using a bike then unlimited license
Every day !
@apptotap im 6ft 2 nearly 3 and i have been told by many people that i fit the bike perfectly :) hope this helps
Ye but the 2 stroke sport models go 45 (legal) wich isn't much and in my country you're fucked when they see you tuned it up..
But aren't there any legal exhaust or things you can change about a 4 stroke what makes it a little faster?
0:31 Walking like a boss! :P
How about, NO?
What, did you think he'd go all up in flames going at 140kph while in the city?

I've sent you a link re: not the fastest bike....

Please share link, I hope this has opened your eyes to what it really is sure it might not get off the line quick but it will get round corners fast....
Takker for videon. Hvor lenge har du kjørt?
But sure I'd think twice about RS if fuel, etc wasn't the problem ;)
On the tank.

I used to ride aprilia rs 125 , and now I'm thinking about jumping onto 600cc , yamaha r6 , think its a good idea or should I get 250cc instead ?!
Well.. NO
I have one myself i've had it to 125/kmh, and i can probably go to 130.
So a custom modded moped might barely beat this, but well, then it's not longer a moped...
the aprilia 125 is the best of the best, its a 2stroke afterall.
And what about the Rieju rs3 125? WOuld that be a good 125cc bike? (its my first motorcycle btw)
er det lett eller moped siden den gikk over 90 eller har du trimmet an?
