i forgot to bring Lisa and Amber to the fight once since i'm just running around with AneMC, Jean, Lv20 Kaeya and Barbara. wow i can't do anything without my Lisa and Amber. Well that's on me though, I just focused on building Lisa and Amber though, so that one's on me.
I can mainly solo the boss with Lisa, and bring Noelle if I want to go for a no damage(just use her to cheap dodge those bombs). Lisa is easily the most OP of the starters.
I agree, bosses like dvalin, childe and wolf are so easy compared to this shit. Like everything he spawns comes in pairs. You can dodge the first one, but most of the time the other one hits you. And if you dodge both, the birds take a swipe at you 😑😑

Keqing's E casts in 2 phases, the press and the hold. For the hold and aim to actually take place, you'll have to wait for her initial animation to finish (her pointing her finger) as anything before that will be counted as a press cast and anything after is counted as a held cast. I believe what happened at the end was due to this, you let go of E too fast causing it to be a press cast instead of a held one.
for real tho. I'm in AR43 now and I only fought Oceanid ONCE just to ascend Barbara. And I was spewing out a lot of cuss words and using up so many recovery foods, like I was getting pissed off. I eventually succeeded after using Noelle and Kaeya (crystallize for the win honestly). I definitely have to ascend both my hydro characters for spiral abyss (barbara and xingqiu). I've abandonded my boi for too long now dammit Edit: I finally have a team comp that I'm comfortable with using to fight this damned boss. At WL5 still bc I'm out of upgrade mats and trying to farm more mats for a couple of lvl 90s in the future. Kaeya as main DPS, Razor for support and exclusively for those hawks (my mobile lags sometimes and I can never see them swooping down oml), Noelle for the shield and Barbara for healing. Maybe I finally will build Diona bc I hear a lot of good things about her but I dunno abt Qiqi either. Either way, I'm probably going to be with this team for a while.

Razor and chongyun are so good for oceanaid solo, razor charged attacks can be reckless BUT THEY HIT THE BIRDS and chongyuns e just making everything frozen is amazing

It’s painful to watch but this was motivating, Mo. Now I wanna challenge myself to do “No Damage Childe”. That said, I did t realize how hard Oceanid was without Ninguang.
Use a cryo character to freeze enemies and negate the duck aoe. And use fischl to kill the fliers. Game suddenly turns into a cakewalk. Xiang ling and fischl with elemental mastery and their respective element bonus cups(if you have them) makes them beyond broken.
@@dagent3216 oh right I'm blind. Mb but same thing kinda applies for most bosses. For andrius just gotta learn how to dodge. That or use fischl and just keep running away and letting the bird do all the work.
Tip: whenever the frog/ fat bitb jumps high, dash as soon as the blue circle indicator on the ground fills the white outline (sorry if my English is bad)
You should always stack/hug Wolf of the North boss from the side. dash side to side occasionally (especially during second phase to stop him from tail-whipping you) and get the timing down for his slashes so you can i-frame out of them. During second phase the hugging technique stops him from hitting you with the wind claws. Also, you don't take damage when stacking him while he's shooting the ice bullets(?) into the sky. If you take long enough, he'll start summoning mini-dogs so look out for that. Hope this was at least a bit helpful. :)
@@abcdfsriz that's literally a bad idea. also yeah I agree with ludwig here. the fight should be redone cause it's just too imbalanced. I mean bruh that damage. and majority of the attacks have hard tells and mostly undodgeable.

Oceanid is a great boss poorly implemented in a game that doesn't suit it, the electrified ground needs to be fixed constantly taking electro damage with no electro on the field happens all the time, the hawks can make the fight completely unable to be completed for some team comps in a game that is so stingy with it's characters and resources being forced to level amber or Lisa or some other ranged character just for this fight is extremely frustrating, I honestly feel like this boss should have been held back for a later update so it could be polished and players were more likely to have a ranged character built
@@kaynorridid you even read what i said, it happens when you aren't using electro characters and even if you are using one if you aren't using an electro skill it shouldn't shock you but it does, you can walk in having done nothing and get shocked by the floor it's a bug that needs fixing and if not it's terrible game design, fire characters dont set grass on fire just by walking on it they need to light it with fire the same thing should apply here for electro characters, this video shows so many examples of there being no electro in the water but him getting shocked when he collects the flower at the end there is clearly no electro in the water he even waits yet it still kills him

I've never done this oceanid boss without 2 chars so fair play for sticking to it. I don't play bow users (tartaglia only) . I'd say cryo is the best here so mebbe kaeya with black sword in phys build and hope no flyers or mebbe diona. My go to on oceanid is always Jean(aquila favonus) my best dps and qiqi for her ice effect. The birds usually kill themselves due to aquilas effect. I'm currently ar 52 so maxed 90. Try cryo it helps so much
Er, I hate the wolf and the cryo vine more than this boss. Oceanid is easy coz I have fischl and chong. I know someone though who hates this boss so much, especially her summoned squirrels and goes hunting every single normal squirrel he saw outside, lols.
Watching you try the Oceanid gave me flashbacks to when I kept trying to fight the Oceanid without Ningguang. I don't think I'd ever been so frustrated with a game!
I always use the other fast travel to go to the wolf, the wolvendom one above it. There's a bunch of wolfhooks on the way that you can grab for Razor or just for the BP quest, and no climbing involved. Much faster and much easier
I just upgraded my Barbara to lvl 50 and I'm never going to build hydro character, even somehow I pull Childe he will do the expeditions. I'll wait for a better healer or just use the cheat codes that are food. I hate Oceanid so much.

My brother doesn't need water unit... I need it for 4 of mine because i like switching my team once in awhile... (mona, childe, xingqiu, barbara) So he just comes with his razor and qiqi while i use fischl and chongyun and he just left without taking the stuff
@@HaloStrategist ducks literally exist and you can't dodge a constant DoT AoE on duck's melee range. also huge and misleading damage hitboxes. on the Fat bird and Frog's Death explosion. and an undodgeable attack that punishes you (Instakill) if you don't have enough damage and take too long to fight it. sure maybe you're a dodge god but stamina exists. and unless you get lucky with the spawns, you're gonna have a bad time.
I could never understand why people say these bosses are hard, I’ve never had a problem defeating them with only one character, but then again I main Ningguang lol
I’ve developed the ultimate strategy to defeat Oceanid.. Chongyun to apply freeze and do shatter dmg, Xiangling to apply melt and vaporize, Razor as my main damage dealer to apply the other reactions who’s names escape me and finally, babara for healing. Anyway, adios.
the entire fight should be overhauled. and they need to remove that one mechanic that kills you when you take too long to kill the mimics. also fix some things hitbox sizes.

childe is an easier fight now because of the patches. (he's already easy) so I think it's very possible, especially if you have a bow user.

this whole fights been bugged for a while, they 'fixed it' but it needs fixed again. using anything but ice is deadly

Even with a full party of 4 i feel like oceanoid is way to strong and needs a nerf. Some attacks are impossible to dodge

I soloed Oceanid with qiqi, used Aquilla favonia’s passive for the birds. :D
Oceanid is a great boss poorly implemented in a game that doesn't suit it, the electrified ground needs to be fixed constantly taking electro damage with no electro on the field happens all the time, the hawks can make the fight completely unable to be completed for some team comps in a game that is so stingy with it's characters and resources being forced to level amber or Lisa or some other ranged character just for this fight is extremely frustrating, I honestly feel like this boss should have been held back for a later update so it could be polished and players were more likely to have a ranged character built

@@kaynorridid you even read what i said, it happens when you aren't using electro characters and even if you are using one if you aren't using an electro skill it shouldn't shock you but it does, you can walk in having done nothing and get shocked by the floor it's a bug that needs fixing and if not it's terrible game design, fire characters dont set grass on fire just by walking on it they need to light it with fire the same thing should apply here for electro characters, this video shows so many examples of there being no electro in the water but him getting shocked when he collects the flower at the end there is clearly no electro in the water he even waits yet it still kills him

@@kaynorri that's what happens when you treat someone like they are stupid from my original comment i said when there is no electro on the field from that you should be able to see that I'm clearly smart enough to know the floor is water and electro on the floor will cause the player damage yet you still had to inform me that that was the case like I'm stupid and then you wonder why someone gets defensive like wtf do you expect

@@noobiedesu4814 its probably because Mona is a spell caster and can do her attacks from farther away, while Xiangling is a polearm user who has to get really close, even with her E and Q

I've never done this oceanid boss without 2 chars so fair play for sticking to it. I don't play bow users (tartaglia only) . I'd say cryo is the best here so mebbe kaeya with black sword in phys build and hope no flyers or mebbe diona. My go to on oceanid is always Jean(aquila favonus) my best dps and qiqi for her ice effect. The birds usually kill themselves due to aquilas effect. I'm currently ar 52 so maxed 90. Try cryo it helps so much

Er, I hate the wolf and the cryo vine more than this boss. Oceanid is easy coz I have fischl and chong. I know someone though who hates this boss so much, especially her summoned squirrels and goes hunting every single normal squirrel he saw outside, lols.
Watching you try the Oceanid gave me flashbacks to when I kept trying to fight the Oceanid without Ningguang. I don't think I'd ever been so frustrated with a game!
If barbara can beat the 2 solo this would be a bar-bruh moment for 5 stars
I always use the other fast travel to go to the wolf, the wolvendom one above it. There's a bunch of wolfhooks on the way that you can grab for Razor or just for the BP quest, and no climbing involved. Much faster and much easier

I just upgraded my Barbara to lvl 50 and I'm never going to build hydro character, even somehow I pull Childe he will do the expeditions. I'll wait for a better healer or just use the cheat codes that are food. I hate Oceanid so much.

My brother doesn't need water unit... I need it for 4 of mine because i like switching my team once in awhile... (mona, childe, xingqiu, barbara) So he just comes with his razor and qiqi while i use fischl and chongyun and he just left without taking the stuff

@@HaloStrategist ducks literally exist and you can't dodge a constant DoT AoE on duck's melee range. also huge and misleading damage hitboxes. on the Fat bird and Frog's Death explosion. and an undodgeable attack that punishes you (Instakill) if you don't have enough damage and take too long to fight it. sure maybe you're a dodge god but stamina exists. and unless you get lucky with the spawns, you're gonna have a bad time.

I’ve developed the ultimate strategy to defeat Oceanid.. Chongyun to apply freeze and do shatter dmg, Xiangling to apply melt and vaporize, Razor as my main damage dealer to apply the other reactions who’s names escape me and finally, babara for healing. Anyway, adios.
the only things that needs to get nerfed are those flying birds who dive at you cuz they do too much damage!! :/
the entire fight should be overhauled. and they need to remove that one mechanic that kills you when you take too long to kill the mimics. also fix some things hitbox sizes.
They also have to fix the electro hit when theres no electro at all. I woder someonr on the forums have talk about this.
