Austin to distribute more Narcan kits after overdose spike

- Austin-Travis County EMS and city leaders highlighted the importance of Narcan kits in preventing opioid overdose deaths, following a recent spike in overdoses that resulted in nine possible deaths, and announced plans to increase the supply of these kits across the county using $2 million in federal funding secured by Congressman Lloyd Doggett.

they should say iliegal opioid in their system ! because people in PAIN from accidents cannot get a doctor to prescribe any to patients, anymore per the C D C, D E A ,A M A !
narcan works the same way on illegal and legal opioids so that would be blatant misinformation. i want pain patients to get their medication and lack of access is a tragedy but misinformation about narcan costs people their lives and helps nobody.
