Very resourceful! I have seen LOTS of guys tie bad knots to their spombs and lose them on the bank and this gave me a great idea for a makeshift backup baiting method on the fly. Great idea!
Great design. Perfect for the corn and feed you are slinging out there. I will definitely be copying your design as I didnt want to spend the money on the commercial products out there!
Hey Tom like watching your videos.. I make a Similar bait spomb . But I use a plastic caulk tube. Cut spout of tube off . So you have two open ends. Find the right size plastic float and glue it in one end. Attach your Strings to other end and your ready to go. Plastic a lot heavier on caulk tube. Should last slot longer
@@OutsidewithTom we snag some pretty good sized one la in the winter jigging for walleyes for sure... Pretty sure i can figure out how to rig those but curious if you have a video I've missed or overlooked that shows how you do it?
@@RalphBarton-fishing I don't think I've done a very good job explaining my rig in past videos. Maybe I'll make a video soon just about the rig. I do have a video showing how I tie my hair rigs. Basically this is my rig from bottom to top: Hair rigged #4 hook on a short 2-3" leader, up to a swivel. Above that on main line is spring feeder, then 1oz egg sinker, then a split shot. Split shot keeps the egg sinker and spring feeder from sliding up the line, creating the bolt effect.
Tip: Drill some extra holes in the sides to allow air to escape when dumping bait, and to allow water to pass through when reeling in.

That's awesome you're looking into carp fishing. Bet there are some good size carp in the Susquehanna.
