Absolute shame someone would literally abandon this beauty. 6spd plus it’s got the 2zzge. I know because I own a ‘00 GT and it just recently hit 300k miles. The reliability and fun has been grand to experience.
Eeek, I cringed when you revved it straight after startup, let her warm up a little mate :) :) By the way, that passenger window will probably work if you press the little button on the drivers door handle - it's a window lock for the passenger side to annoy the wife :)
I don't think I would use my "get me there" car's battery to start an abandoned motor, chaps didn't seem that prepared so a walk home if they ran the battery flat? Missed some the commentary due to heavy breathing and arse crack, too young to carrying that much weight in tropical heat, you're not a yank!
It wasn't empty - each bar represents about 2.25 L, and when the last bar goes out there's still about 4 L remaining. I'd suspect that old fuel had gummed-up the fuel system. Clean gas fixed it!

I recently was given a 2000 Celica GT for free after it was long abandoned. In the last few months I've put a rebuilt 5spd in, new clutch, new ignition system, brakes all around, new hatch, new fender, repainted the bumpers and finally took it for the first ride last week. I am one happy lady. What a fun car! Definitely going to become my new daily ❤️
