I was very attractive when I was young, I've changed after a traumatic 10 year relationship and I've gained weight (trying to lose it) and male pattern baldness and am totally affected by the change. It seems like such a little or stupid thing to be concerned about and I feel that if I talk about it but it's like night and day. When I was attractive, people just care about what happens to you, they want to know how you are, they smile at you. There's power in it.
That is so true. I was attractive when I was younger and I gained a ton of weight and now have stubborn adult acne and the treatment i get is like night and day too. It sucks bc im the same person on the inside. And it's not just men that treat me differently it's women too, hell my own family. Shame.
@ Yeah, that's what I mean. Society as a whole disregards you, they don't smile or open the door for you. They could care less how you are doing. The worst part is when I was attractive, I was so preoccupied with feeling like I was too fat or not good enough. I think about all the things I took for granted and all the opportunities I had that I didn't follow through with. I'm like the ghost of Christmas past, that's where I live because I have so much regret. We deeply underestimate pretty privilege, but I think it's something so entrenched in human nature, it would be impossible to address. My friend asked me a question: do you think that it's better to have been attractive and lose it or never have it at all...? I think I would say never have it at all because you I just wasted it...what do you think?
@hamilton7798 omg i was the same way when I was skinny. But I think it is better to have it and loose it bc ot gives you a greater perspective than a lot of other people. You can understand both sides. And when you lose the weight (bc you will 😉) you will appreciate your size and the perks so much more and won't judge overweight people (if that's something you did before) bc you know what it's like and how hard it is to lose it
Don’t sleep on Walmart glasses now. They have some very fashionable choices. Additionally most glasses are repackaged frames with different brand names
Confident in what? In how ugly you are, and acting like you're not? This is terrible advice. It means nothing. Be confident in your authenticity, be confident in the value you provide the people around you. Be confident in your style, and flare. Be confident in your intelligence. Be confident in your love. Be confident in you story. Dont just be confident for nothing you've earned -- that just makes you annoying and delusional.

I would say number one for confidence is not to refer to yourself as ugly in the first place.
