Had a Black one with the factory red & white 4x4 decals down the sides / bed roll bar & front full width pushbar on factory steels with BFG all terrains way back around 1990. The front king pins were shot & the camber was really bad...yet that sob would Hill climb like a bitch. I swapped out the worn out bench seat for a nice pair of 86' Mustang seats in grey with the red piping -- looked like it came from the factory that way .. I later traded that Hardbody for a 78' 350 Camaro and a 79' two door 350 Malibu..both cars ran and drove.
First one I owned was a 85 tan 2 wheel drive. Loved that truck, it would go anywhere. I wore it down taking it to nearly 335,000 miles only fixing the water pump and clutch. I had put in chrome letters Nissan 2x4 off-road on the back…lol. Some Good memories.
Awesome truck, congratulations! I have the same model and I'd like to know where did you get all those parts, are kinda hard to find, I will appreciate your help.
Thank you. Almost everything I bought for the the truck was off rockauto.com. A few items I purchased off of eBay. The main thing I had trouble finding was a radiator, no one at the moment makes a direct replacement.
would love to see a video where you discuss the difficulties you experienced during the restoration and the solutions you came up with etc ? *even just sourcing parts for these old trucks would be helpful ;)
I’m not much of a get in front of the camera person…lol But I might make something like that in the future. Surprisingly parts are quite easy to find and abundant. Rockauto.com was my biggest source for parts with, Autozone, and O’Reilly, and few special parts from eBay. I couldn’t get a radiator, luckily one from a 240sx drops right in I just had to make a simple mounting bracket. A few Facebook groups are a great source for used parts.
@@matthewcapodieci7994 I purchased one off eBay for a 1995-1998 240sx. All aluminum. It’s a easy fit, drops right in and hose outlets line up. You do have to make some simple mounting brackets and get the rubber mounts from an auto parts store. Link below is just like the one I bought. www.ebay.com/itm/Dual-Core-Cooling-Aluminum-Radiator-JDM-For-1995-1998-Nissan-240Sx-Ka24De-Ka24-/352936793805?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
@@kevinander77 im in australia, parts arent easy to source locally even though there were plenty of these around back in the day, it seems a lot of guys here buy odds and ends from thailand were there is still plenty of these on the roads
Thank you. I’m running 235/75r15 tires, no suspension lift or body lift. I got very lucky on the roll bar, found it on a local classifieds just by chance. Picked it up for $60
I purchased of eBay. It was for a 1994 Nissan 240sx. It has the hose locations on the same side. You will have to build some simple mounting brackets. It fits easily. I would give you a link for the exact one I bought but it is no longer available. But I have seen several others from different sellers that are similar
