    The amazing music in this video is from an incredibly obscure Australian/Irish folk band called "The Celts". Unfortunately they're so obscure they have nothing I can link you to, but I have had a deep love for their music since I first saw them live on stage as a child.

    I gotta make me one of them! I haaaaate warps, had a little wobble today and got it out post temper with a couple of light taps with a hammer.

      You've got brass balls using a hammer for warp correction, mate! Hopefully this will save you some future grief!

    Have you ever seen when Japan sword smiths heat up pieces of copper or brass and then just bend the blade slowly over the hot soft metal?

    Hi, nice and simple :-) thanks. Do you let your device sit on the blade until cool or do you remove it immediately?

    Well I’m on episode 52 of the forgecast and started about 2 weeks ago. Then I decided I would try to make a knife and might make more and this would come in handy. Thanks for sharing Alex!

    Cool jigg. So do you put the blade in while it is very hot? Because you would have seen the warp at that point

    • @ValhallaIronworks
      @ValhallaIronworks  4 роки тому +1

      Nah, this is used for when you're putting your knife into the tempering oven. You quench the blade as normal, and if there's a warp, place it into the jig as described in the video before putting it in to do its temper cycles.

      Valhalla Ironworks oh I see. Sorry I missed that, and clearly I forgot the tempering and normalising process and I am a basic biach
