All this thing is good for is putting air in a tire when it's low. You get a hole in the tire like I had last week in my 22 Acura, you're out of luck. Acura roadside was horrendous with never showing up. I had to cancel after three hours of waiting. This is in a major metropolitan area as well It was not out in the middle of nowhere. It ended up being a 6-hour ordeal after getting the tire to a shop and getting home and I had to use a different roadside service to get someone to come out and tow me. I almost hate driving my car now. I ended up buying a new tire that cost me over $300 and I've had the car for two months. Ridiculous it doesn't even come with a donut spare.

Now I am looking for a spare tire for my 2016 RDX, and has not found one in the junk yard yet that will fit for my RDX. Heck, Honda cheapens out on this and give you something not quite practical (they think they are...), so that they turn around and asking you to get a spare tire for more than $200? Are they nuts?
But what if your tire blows up? I drive to Arizona a lot and if I get a flat there in the middle if nowhere I would hate to wait for help if I can even get signal to call lol I will take a tire any time.
This is so stupid. I tried doing this on my MDX and would not work and I had to call roadside assistance, and I was standard on the side of road and people pulling over to help me with that.

I have a 2021 TLX. just had a flat. Would have been sooooo easy had Acura included a full size spair or a donut. But no. I had to pull over in an unsafe area and consult this video. Since I was 16, I’ve never not had an Acura (I’m 46 now). After my last garbage 21 a-spec TLX….and after this terrible situation w this pos….i will NEVER buy another Acura.

I just bought my RDX and found a spare tire on Amazon for $70.00. I'll buy a cheap tire and have a real spare. Besides that, the tire sealant kit makes a total mess inside your tire and rim that will cost extra to clean when you replace the tire. I do not trust this apparatus will fix anything.

So took the car in and Acura repainted it. Then after 7 months of purchase, the backseat leather seat started peeling off. So I took it back and am scheduled to replace the seat. My question is what happened to quality of these cars? I called Acura and Honda and asked for extension on my warranty because I plan to keep this car for a long time and that was denied. Acura rejected my requests and instead offered me a $300 gift card!!!!!! I asked to return the car but that period has passed. I consider this a joke and needles to say I do not recommend Honda or Acura at this point based on the response I am getting from them.
I'll go w/ a spare over that crap any day, much easier and faster with a spare than that junk kit. The only reason manufacturers use the tire kit is to save money, not space
this is crap, how the heck are you suppose to know or find the puncture, particularly on TLX, which is low to the road and if the puncture is not as obvious as the nail showing in the video.. disappointment in Acura, they should provide both the spare tire which should be a legit replacement of the OEM tire in addition to the spare tire kit, to purposefully meet the needs of all user base, whether someone can or can't change tire or any situation...... Acura Roadside never picks up the phone - imagine being somewhere where there is no or very limited cell phone signal, spare tire kit is the answer and you are stranded ! If you have the spare tire, you have a better option.. not all Acura dealers are "close" to where the tire might decide to get punctured .. come on
